Written by on July 18, 2016

It’s the first full week of action after the All-Star Game in the MLB, and the schedule makers have been very kind to all baseball fans. There are a number of great match-ups on display this coming week, which means that it’s time to get onto your online sportsbook and make some money. Every game starts to take on a higher level of importance at this stage of the season, as division and Wild Card races start to heat up. The next couple of weeks is going to determine who will be buying and selling at the August 1st trade. Let’s take a look at the series this week that have the potential to be the best.

Analyzing The 2016 MLB Best Series Of The Week

NY Mets at Chicago Cubs – July 18-20

This is a battle of the heavyweights in the National League, with both teams looking to be among the favorites to be in the playoffs. The Chicago Cubs (55-36) did not end the first half in good form, but took 2 of 3 from Texas to get the second half underway, and they still have an 8-game lead in the division. The Mets (49-42) will be looking to make a serious move in the second half of the season, as they are 6 games back of the Nationals in the NL East.

LA Dodgers at Washington Nationals – July 18-20

Just like the last series we discussed, this one features a pair of teams that are very much in the playoff hunt in the NL. The Washington Nationals (56-37) have been getting outstanding pitching, and are full deserving of their spot atop the East. The Dodgers (52-42) have some work to do in the second half, as they are playing catch-up with the Giants in the West.

San Francisco at Boston – July 19-20

This may well prove to be one of the best interleague series of the season, as these are a pair of teams at the top of their game. The Giants (57-36) are out in front in the NL West, but need to wake up after being swept by the Padres to start the second half. The Boston Red Sox (51-39) started out their second half by taking 2 of 3 from the Yankees, and are now just 2 games back of the Orioles atop the AL East.

Cleveland at Baltimore – July 22-24

A pair of American League division leaders go head to head in what is arguably the best match-up of the weekend. The Cleveland Indians (54-37) finished the first half on an incredible run of form, and now find themselves 6.5 games up in the Central Division. The Baltimore Orioles (53-37) were the model of consistency through the first half of the season, and are 2 games up in the East, although they are looking over their shoulder at the hard charging Toronto Blue Jays. These are just 4 of the very good series that we have on tap in the MLB this week, but you can of course wager on every game at MyBookie.ag. Be sure to check in often to get a look at the live odds.
