MLB Betting Predictions for the Complete Braves @ Marlins Series

MLB Betting Predictions for the Complete Braves @ Marlins Series

NL East rivals meet up in Miami on Tuesday night to begin a three-game series to kick off the month of May. The Miami Marlins host the Atlanta Braves, and both teams are entering the series after a solid start to the year.

Atlanta looks like a top contender to win the World Series again this season, as they finished April with a record of 18-9. The Braves are sitting atop the NL East Division, but they do have to play the New York Mets in a doubleheader on Monday.

Miami is coming into this series with a ton of momentum after they just swept the Chicago Cubs in a three-game series. The Marlins are sitting at 16-13 heading into this series, and they can close the gap between them and the Braves with a big week.

Atlanta will be favored to win the entire series, but the Marlins will have an edge in the series opener.

MLB New York at Texas Series: Wednesday, May 3 – Friday, May 5, 2023

Braves Playing Long Ball

The Atlanta Braves have belted 41 home runs through the first 27 games of the season, and they have a lineup that is full of sluggers. Atlanta is also hitting .255 as a team, and they just aren’t easy for opposing pitchers to deal with.

Matt Olson is leading the team in the power department with eight home runs and 25 RBIs. Ronald Acuna Jr. is also having a solid season, as he finished the month of April with a .352 batting average.

The Braves are also coming into this series with a team ERA of under 3.50, and they have some big arms on that staff. If Atlanta keeps pitching well, then they will be tough to beat this season.

Marlins Need More Pitching

The Miami Marlins are pitching to a team ERA of 4.41 so far this season, and that will need to improve as the season moves along. Sandy Alcantara has gone just 1-2 with a 5.04 ERA, but he will look to turn that around as he starts in the series opener.

The Marlins did just have a great weekend series with the Cubs, and that pitching staff looks like it can turn things around in a hurry. Miami has proven that they can score some runs, but they do it in a much different way than the Braves.

Luis Arraez is hitting .438 so far this season, and he looks like he has a legitimate chance of hitting close to .400 for the year. Miami has a ton of team speed, and they will look to take some chances on the base paths.

Marlins Must Win Series Opener

The Miami Marlins have a big edge in the starting pitching matchup in the series opener, and this is a game that they need to win. Setting the tone in the series opener is going to be a big key for the Marlins, and it could allow them to take the series.

Atlanta just continues to find ways to win games, and that offense has been a huge part of their success. The Braves have proven that they can win games anywhere, and they will be looking to continue their dominance over NL East opponents.

Beating Atlanta is never an easy thing to do, but the Marlins are playing good enough baseball at the moment to get that done.
