MLB Betting Predictions for the Complete New York @ Texas Series

MLB Betting Predictions for the Complete New York @ Texas Series

Two of the better teams in the American League are set to begin a very big four-game series on Thursday night in Texas. The Rangers will host the New York Yankees, and this game should give fans a good idea of how each team stacks up.

The New York Yankees enter the series with an overall record of 14-11, and they have actually struggled a bit over the past five games. New York has gone just 2-3 during that stretch, including dropping two of three games in Minnesota.

The Rangers are hoping to turn things around at home, as they were just swept in a three-game series by the Cincinnati Reds. Texas is still 14-10 to begin the year, and they have the look of a team that can make some noise in the AL.

It’s still extremely early in the MLB season, but this could be a potential playoff preview.

MLB Betting Predictions for Complete New York @ Texas Series

MLB New York at Texas Series: Wednesday, April 27 – Thursday, April 30

Yankees Getting Great Pitching

The big storyline early in the season for the New York Yankees has been the terrific work by the entire pitching staff. New York comes into this series with a team ERA of 3.36, and they have a couple of starting pitchers that are rolling.

Gerrit Cole makes the start on Thursday night, and he is 4-0 with an ERA of just 0.79 this season. There are still some holes in the Yankees rotation, but other teams haven’t been able to exploit those weaknesses.

Aaron Judge leads the team with six home runs this season, and the Yankees have already hit 31 of them. New York has cooled off at the plate a bit, but they can turn it back on again in a hurry.

Rangers Rolling on Offense

The Texas Rangers look to have one of the best offenses in baseball this season, and they have a lineup loaded with power. Texas has belted 32 home runs this season, and they are also hitting .261 as a team.

Adolis Garcia has been one of the brightest stars to begin the year, as he has hit seven home runs to go along with 29 RBIs. Texas will need to play long ball to beat the Yankees, as New York will be doing the same.

The Rangers have been impressive on the mound this season as well as they have a team ERA of 3.67. If Texas is able to continue to get great pitching, then this team will be in the mix all year long.

Expect Some High-Scoring Games

Even though the pitching staffs of both teams have done a great job this season, the Yankees and Rangers want to score runs. New York and Texas both have some great players in the batting lineup, and this is a ballpark that is known to produce offense.

The Yankees should have the edge in the pitching matchup in Game 1, but the Rangers will have that advantage in other games. This series should come down to which team is able to hit more home runs.

Since these two teams are pretty evenly matched, don’t be surprised to see a four-game series split between the Yankees and Rangers.
