MLB Series Prediction & Betting Pick: Boston at Seattle

Top Betting Series in the MLB Calendar

Written by on July 4, 2016

The start of a new week means that we have a whole batch of new series to look forward to in MLB. Things are really getting down to the nitty gritty now, as the All-Star Break approaches and teams start to think about potentially making some moves ahead of the trade deadline. How the first half closes up will probably help determine which teams consider themselves buyers or sellers when the deadline arrives, so having a strong finish is important. There are a number of great looking series on tap for this week, so let’s look at a few that might just tempt you to log into your online sportsbook betting account.

Top MLB Series of the Week

Texas Rangers at Boston Red Sox – July 4-6

It’s a chance for a little revenge for the Red Sox, as they dropped 2 of 3 to the Rangers in their most recent series. Boston is now within 3 games of the Orioles at the top of the AL East, and they will be looking to close that gap even further before the first half draws to a close this weekend. The Texas Rangers are having a great season so far, and have already built up an 8.5 game lead in the West. They will be determined to not let things slip, but will know they have a tough series ahead when they head into Fenway Park.

Detroit Tigers at Cleveland Indians – July 4-6

Things are starting to really heat up in the AL Central, as the division leading Cleveland Indians saw a 14-game winning streak come to an end with a pair of crushing defeats at the hands of the Toronto Blue Jays. The Detroit Tigers are now on a winning run of their own, putting together 6-straight to draw within 5 games of the lead in the division. Detroit would love nothing more than to see that gap continue to shrink, especially with the world champion Royals breathing right down their necks.

Baltimore Orioles at LA Dodgers – July 4-6

Those of you who love to watch and wager on interleague games are in for a treat, as the AL East leading Baltimore Orioles take their show on the road this week to face the LA Dodgers, who are desperately trying to keep pace with the San Francisco Giants in the NL West. The Orioles are having a great season, and this trip is sure to be a big test for them. We might just get a better idea of where this O’s team really stands after this one.

Washington Nationals at New York Mets – July 7-10

It is the goal of the New York Mets to get back to the World Series again this year, but they know that the Nationals are going to be one of the teams blocking their path. These two division rivals hooked up recently, and it was the Nats with the 3-game sweep, but New York bounced back nicely, taking 4-straight off the red hot Chicago Cubs. The Mets are now 5 games back of Washington, and will be looking at this 4-game series as a chance to close that gap a little.
