The Jazz played at the Lakers on Saturday as well and lost 127-115 in OT playing without three starters and All-Stars in Donovan Mitchell, Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert. Mitchell will be out at least a week with a sprained right ankle he sustained in a win over Indiana last Friday night. An MRI showed there was no structural damage.

Mitchell has been on an offensive tear in the past month, averaging 30.0 points per game in April with scoring outbursts not done in a Jazz uniform since Karl Malone. Mitchell had a four-game run of scoring at least 35, with 40 in three of the four games. The 24-year-old is averaging career highs almost across the board in his fourth season with 26.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists for the first-place Jazz.

Joe Ingles played well in Saturday’s loss with 20 points, 14 assists, three rebounds and three steals. The 33-year-old made his 15th start of the season with Mitchell and Conley out and made six three-pointers in a season-high 39 minutes. Ingles hadn’t recorded a steal in three games before Saturday’s three-steal performance.

Ingles currently ranks second among qualified players in the NBA in three-point percentage (48.6). Ingles currently has a true shooting percentage of 71.2 (51.7 FG%, 48.6 3FG% and 86.8 FT%), which is the best in the NBA.

Bojan Bogdanovic had 19 points in 39 minutes. The 31-year-old has been on fire lately, averaging 24.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 three-pointers while shooting 47.5 percent from the field in the last four games.

The Jazz have scored 100-or-more points in 47-straight games, which marks the longest streak in franchise history for the most games in a row with 100-or-more points. It’s thought that Conley and Gobert will return here.
