Purdue Boilermakers

Matt Painter leads his Boilermakers; a team that lost in the first round a season ago, despite being a #1 seed. This season has been a different story. With just four losses on the season, the Boilermakers are winning games with Zach Edey in the paint, but also much improved guard play. Purdue has tournament wins over Grambling State , Utah State, Gonzaga and then Sunday over Tennessee. The Boilermakers are looking to be the first team from the Big Ten to win a national title since 2000.

North Carolina State WolfPack

The Cinderella of the tournament. They do not want to be known as Cinderella, as the WolfPack feel they are just as good as the rest of the teams heading to Arizona. DJ Burns has been incredible in the paint for the WolfPack, but the guard play continues to shine. Head Coach Kevin Keats was on the verge of getting fired, before five wins in five days at the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament. Now, the WolfPack are two wins from winning it all. The WolfPack are coming off a win over Duke, which was their second this month over the Blue Devils. NC State will need to take down back to back top seeds most likely, if UConn can get by Alabama.

Alabama Crimson Tide

Nate Oats has his Crimson Tide in the NCAA Final Four for the first time in school history. Alabama is the top scoring team in all of College Basketball. The Crimson Tide struggled in several SEC games with their inability to play defense. In the NCAA Tournament, the Crimson Tide have started using their defense. Alabama is coming off a win over Clemson in the Elite 8. The Tigers were a team that beat them during the regular season. The biggest tournament win for Alabama was in the Sweet 16 over North Carolina. Mark Sears leads the Crimson Tide in scoring, and getting comparisons to Jalen Brunson, formerly of Villanova, and now with the Knicks.
