College Basketball Season 2022-2023

Bradley Braves vs. Auburn Tigers

Even though both teams are at a vacation destination, it’s not going to be a vacation for either, as the Auburn Tigers will take on the Bradley Braves in the Cancun Challenge. Auburn is 5-0 on the season and ranked 13th in the latest polls. Bradley has had some injury issues this season and is now 3-1.

Bruce Pearl has another loaded squad this season that is expected to contend for the SEC title. Auburn can beat you in many ways, but the Tigers are very good on the defensive end of the floor. They are near the top of college basketball in steals at nearly 12 per game, so they know how to create turnovers.

Bradley is one of the most efficient offensive teams in the country. This should be a good matchup between two good teams. Unless the spread is too large, we like Auburn in this one. With Bradley missing some key players, Auburn should win this one and cover the spread.

Bowling Green Falcons @ Notre Dame Fighting Irish

The 2-2 Bowling Green Falcons will head to South Bend to take on the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. The Irish come into this one undefeated with a 4-0 record.

While they haven’t faced much of a challenge yet, Notre Dame has still looked very impressive early in the season. The Fighting Irish are scoring nearly 80 points per game while shooting a very high percentage from the floor.

As for the Bowling Green Falcons, their losses have come at the hands of St. Bonaventure and Wright State. Their two wins have come over Oakland and Air Force. We’ll see if they can put together a game plan that will slow the Irish down, or if Notre Dame will go to 5-0 on the season.

Notre Dame will undoubtedly be favored by at least 10 points. We like the Irish to cover the spread in their win. Monitor the spread closely, as Notre Dame doesn’t traditionally blow people out, so if it’s too large, then you may want to take Bowling Green.

Liberty Flames @ Northwestern Wildcats

Liberty has put together some pretty good teams the past few seasons, but they haven’t started off the year well. At 2-2, they’ll head to Evanston to take on the undefeated Northwestern Wildcats. Northwestern has four wins on the season, but they haven’t blown anyone out.

In their offensive system, Northwestern takes and makes a lot of threes, and they move the ball well. We’ll see how Liberty can defend the arc against the Wildcats.

We like Northwestern to win the game, but it should be a close one.
