One of this week’s better games was to be No. 3 Purdue at Michigan, on Tuesday, but that has been postponed because the Wolverines have fewer than seven scholarship players cleared to play as a result of COVID-19 protocols. The Wolverines also had to postpone their game Saturday against No. 10 Michigan State because they didn’t have enough scholarship players available. Here’s a look at two games to parlay together Monday on the NCAAB odds.

Campbell at Winthrop (-4.5)

This is the first game to tip Monday, at 5 p.m. ET and streamed on ESPN+. It’s also the Big South Conference opener for both. Winthrop and Campbell were both voted as the preseason favorites to finish first in their respective Big South divisions

Winthrop and Campbell meet for the 46th time. They played in the Big South Conference Tournament Championship game back in March as the Eagles prevailed 80-53. They have won seven straight in the series and 11 of the last 12. The last four meetings in this series have been played at the Winthrop Coliseum.

Winthrop has won eight straight league openers and is 19-17 all-time. When opening league play at home, the Eagles are 8-8 all-time. Winthrop hasn’t faced Campbell in a conference opener since 1992 when they lost 69-69 at home. The Eagles are 1-2 all-time against Campbell in league openers.

D.J. Burns Jr. leads Winthrop scoring at 21.0 ppg and is shooting 70 percent from the floor. The Eagles are scoring 67.3 ppg while allowing 62.3 ppg. The Eagles are second in the league in scoring (77.7 ppg) while Campbell leads the conference in scoring defense (59.7 ppg).

Campbell has held all 12 of its opponents below 70 points and ranks first in the Big South, 21st in the nation, in scoring defense (59.7). CU tops the BSC in defensive rebounding percentage (.785) and is 3rd in FG% defense (.408). Three Camels rank among the Big South’s top 25 scorers – Cedric Henderson, Jr. (12th, 11.8), Carralero (20th, 11.3) and Clemons (23rd, 10.7).

The team that has led at halftime has won 11 of the last 13 meetings between the Camels and Eagles.

Oregon at Oregon State (+6.5)

This is the lone Power 5 conference game on Monday as the rivals meet from the Pac-12. It was originally to be played Saturday. Oregon State and Oregon have played an NCAA-record 357 games with the Beavers holding a 192-165 advantage, including a 104-65 edge in games played in Corvallis.

The Beavers have won six of the last nine games in the Rivalry Series, including two of the three meetings last season. Oregon State defeated Oregon, 75-64, in the semifinals of last season’s Pac-12 Tournament in Las Vegas.

Oregon State has averaged 81.3 points and shot 53.9% from the field in the last three games; the Beavers averaged 65.0 points and shot 43.0% from the field in the first 10 games. Jarod Lucas has led the Beavers in scoring in five consecutive games; during that stretch he’s averaging 21.0 points, while shooting 52.9% (18-for-34) from beyond the arc. Dashawn Davis is shooting 63.0% (17-for-27) from the field, 1.000% (9-for-9) from the free throw line and averaging 11.0 points and 6.75 assists over the last four games. Roman Silva is averaging 10.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots over the last two games.

The Beavers’ Gianni Hunt has missed the past four games due to personal reasons and it’s not clear if he will play here. The junior guard is averaging 24.2 minutes per game this season; he averaged 20.2 minutes last season and 13.9 minutes as a true freshman. He shot 37.1% (26-for-70) from beyond the arc last season and is shooting 17.4% (4- for-23) from deep this season.

Oregon is 6-0 this season when Will Richardson scores at least 17 points. He was recently named Pac-12 Player of the Week. It was the first weekly honor of Richardson’s career, and the first by a Ducks player since Chris Duarte set the UO school record with his fourth player of the week selection on March 8, 2021.

The Ducks have played just once since Dec. 21 thanks to a holiday break and three postponements. The Beavers also have only played one game since Dec. 21 — an 88-76 win against Utah on Dec. 30. The Beavers were scheduled to play Sacramento State last Monday but they went into protocol an hour before the game started at Gill Coliseum.
