NCAAF 2020 Week 15 Top Games Expert Analysis

Written by on December 10, 2020

With the postponement of the game between Ohio State and Michigan this weekend, we are now looking at a situation that might create a ripple effect across all of college football. The Buckeyes will not be able to meet the 6-game minimum requirement to appear in the Big Ten Conference Championship Game, which could well mean that they also drop out of the top 4 in the national rankings. Word has it that the conference may decide to drop that minimum this year, but we shall wait to see. It is still going to take some time to figure all of this out, but it does mean that we have a few games this weekend that take on a whole new level of importance. Those games will be included in our list of must watch matchups for Week 15 of the college football season. Let’s jump right into action so you can keep betting against our NCAAF odds.

NCAAF Week 15 Odds, Overview & Picks to Bet On

North Carolina Tar Heels at Miami Hurricanes

The ACC Conference Championship Game has already been set, with Notre Dame and Clemson set to go head-to-head next weekend. Despite that, you still need to look at this one as a very good matchup indeed. Both teams come into this one ranked, with Miami (FL) looking at a top 10 finish if they can come away with the win at home. The head-to-head games between these two teams have been close in recent years, with the Hurricanes holding a 6-4 SU edge in their past 10 meetings. For North Carolina, it’s all about moving up as much as possible from their current #17 spot, which they would most certainly do with a win over a team in the top 10.

Wisconsin Badgers at Iowa Hawkeyes

While we all wait to see how things play out in the East Division in the Big Ten, we know that the West has already been decided. While the Iowa Hawkeyes are on a nice run of 5-straight wins, their loss to Northwestern in the early part of the season means that they cannot catch the Wildcats in the West. Still, Iowa will be looking to close out strong and get themselves a decent Bowl Game, which they can do with a win over the Wisconsin Badgers. The Badgers have managed to play just 4 games this season and have now lost 2 in a row. Can they come in and finish strong or are they just waiting for the season to end?

Navy Midshipmen at Army Golden Knights

With the crowds taken out of the equation, something is lost in college football, but it is hard to take any of the shine off of this matchup. It is always fun to see these two teams mix it up. Both teams run the triple option, so if you are looking for a game where the ball goes through the air a lot, then look elsewhere. If, on the other hand, you are looking for a rivalry game like no other, then this is one that you should be tuning into. It’s also worth a look while wagering, as each of the last 14 meetings have gone UNDER the point total.

LSU Tigers at Florida Gators

At this stage of the season, a team sitting in the #6 spot usually needs a little help to make it into the playoffs. You have to say, though, that the 8-1 Florida Gators still control their own destiny. If they win this coming weekend and take out the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game, you would have to say that they should be in the playoffs. Keep in mind that 2 of the other teams in the top 4 still need to go against one another in the ACC Championship game. There is a lot of pressure on the Gators to get the win over the defensing champions.
