With the start of the 2016 NCAA college football season getting closer by the day, some online college football predictions are just what you need! That’s where I come in. Thanks to the handful of un-filled NCAA college football predictions that you’re about to get, you’re going to have a great idea of just what lies in store for several national title hopefuls this coming season. Okay, with that said, let’s get started.

Online College Football Predictions – Early College Football Predictions

Conference Winners

AAC

Houston – I’m going with Tom Herman Houston Cougars to not only win the suddenly competitive AAC in 2016, but to contend for a berth in the CFB Playoff. The Cougars went 13-1 last season and have one of the most gifted dual-threat quarterbacks in the country in Greg Ward Jr. Navy and particularly Temple, will challenge the Cougars, but in the end, I’m going with Houston.

ACC

Clemson went 14-1 and came up just short in their quest to win the national championship a year ago. However, there’s a reason that Deshaun Watson and the Tigers are favored to win it all in 2016 an it starts with winning the ACC. Clemson takes out all challengers to win the ACC in 2016.

Big Ten

Ohio State lost a lot of talent, including running back Ezekiel Elliott and defensive end Joey Bosa, two players that were both picked in the Top 5 in this year’s NFL Draft. Still, the Buckeyes are brimming with top-notch talent and return gifted dual-threat signal-caller J.T. Barrett. With Michigan and Michigan State replacing their starting quarterbacks, the Buckeyes are the pick to win the Big Ten in 2016.

Big 12

Oklahoma tied TCU with an 11-2 mark to top the Big 12 standings in 2015 with Baylor and Oklahoma State just one game behind (10-3). With TCU replacing quarterback Trevone Boykin and Baylor mired in the midst of an ugly scandal that cost head coach Art Briles his job, Oklahoma and Heisman Trophy candidate quarterback Baker Mayfield are the pick to win the Big 12 in 2016.

Pac-12

I know Stanford lost four-year starting quarterback Kevin Hogan from last season’s12-2 team, but the Cardinal still have Heisman Trophy candidate Christian McCaffery to make plays in the passing, rushing and return games. I like the Utah Utes and Washington State, but right now, the Pac-12 is Stanford’s to lose!

SEC

I know the reigning national champion Alabama Crimson Tide (14-1) are the pick to win the SEC again in 2016 after beating out Georgia and Mississippi (10-3) but I’m going with Ol Miss for the upset conference win behind gifted signal-called Chad Kelly and a defense that looks pretty good on paper. The Tide need a new starting quarterback and running back, so now is the time for the Rebels – and every other SEC wannabe to go for it!

Heisman

I personally thought Stanford hybrid running back/wide receiver Christian McCaffery was the best and most dangerous player in the country last season and he’s my pick to win the Heisman this coming season. The elusive son of former NFL star receiver Ed McCaffery, rushed for a mind-boggling 2019 yards and eight touchdowns while catching 45 passes for 645 yards and an additional five touchdowns. Did I forget to mention that McCaffery also racked up another 1,200 yards and two scores on kickoff and punt returns to finish the 2015 season with an insane 3,864 total yards from scrimmage? With the Cardinal breaking in a new starting quarterback this season, McCaffery’s touches could go up in 2016 – and that’s just scary!

National Championship Participants

I’m going with Clemson to get there opposite one of three teams. Now if I reveal my pick to reach the national title game at this early juncture, what fun would that be. I will say that I like Houston, Ole Miss and Ohio State to reach the 2017 CFB as the other three participants. More on that later….and happy hunting!
