NCAAF Betting Predictions of Teams That Could Surprise In Each College Football Conference

We are already in the month of July, and that means that the college football season is less than two months away. After a strange 2020 season due to COVID-19, things will return back to normal in 2021.

College football has turned into a massive sport in the United States, and the action on the field will be tremendous this season. With this in mind, let’s take a look at a team that could surprise people in each of the Power 5 Conferences so you can plan your bets against their NCAAF odds.

Projecting Every College Football Conference’s Surprise Team

Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC)

The Atlantic Coast Conference title is Clemson’s to lose in 2021, but there should be more depth in this conference this season. North Carolina is another team that will likely be a Top-15 team after a strong 2020 season.

The biggest surprise team in 2021 could be the Florida State Seminoles after another great recruiting class and some key transfers. It’s hard to imagine Florida State being considered a surprise team, but it has been a rough patch for the Seminoles.

McKenzie Milton is set to become the starting quarterback, and he has put together a great career. Discipline is always an issue with this team, but the talent will be there.

Big 12 Conference

Oklahoma continues to be the class of the Big 12 Conference, but other teams are starting to close the gap. Both Iowa State and Texas have conference title aspirations in 2021 and will challenge the Sooners.

If you are looking for a potential surprise team, look no further than the Kansas State Wildcats. This team has beaten Oklahoma in two straight seasons, and they have two of their top offensive weapons back in 2021.

Big Ten Conference

The Ohio State Buckeyes are the clear betting favorites to win the Big Ten Conference, but look out for the Indiana Hoosiers. Indiana was one of the biggest surprises in the country a season ago, and this roster will be much of the same this season.

Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is expected to be back and healthy, and this offense could be explosive. The Hoosiers won’t be able to sneak up on teams in 2021, but they are still a surprise pick to win the conference.

Pac-12 Conference

USC and Oregon are the two best college football programs in the Pac-12 Conference, and both have goals of reaching the College Football Playoff. This conference always seems to produce some interesting results, and that could open the door for a surprise team.

If you want to go out on a limb and take a different team to win the Pac-12 title, then go with the Arizona State Sun Devils. Quarterback Jayden Daniels is a star, and the Sun Devils can run the football.

Southeastern Conference (SEC)

It’s hard to imagine any team knocking off the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC as Nick Saban has reloaded that roster yet again. Even though Alabama lost three of the top players in college football from a season ago, this team is going to be tough.

The Texas A&M Aggies should be one of the best teams in the country this season as they have been trending in the right direction of late. It’s not going to be a big surprise if they are a top team in the country, but it would be a surprise to see them break through with an SEC Championship.
