Arkansas at No. 19 Ole Miss

Mississippi’s defense has been the real deal, at least when playing big games, so we expect a mean defensive performance that will put the clamps on the recent-struggling Razorbacks. Nonetheless, it would moronic to forget that the ‘Backs have an offense that can wither such storms. Arkansas RB Alex Collins, for example, has posted six 100-yard rushing games, making him a player that could create big ground problems for the ranked Rebels. Also, QB Brandon Allen is talented enough to make a couple of deep-pass plays with his arms. Such players should thus be able to test the Rebels to the maximum, maybe even going as far as delivering an upset. My Upset Verdict: Arkansas keeps the game close to cover the spread, though with Ole Miss probably eking out an oh-so narrow win.

No. 13 Utah Utes at Washington Huskies

Despite their 4-4 record so far, the Huskies have recorded a couple of big wins this season, a key reason they’ve been placed as slight home favorites in this game’s NCAAF betting lines. Still, the Utah Utes (7-1) have repeatedly proven that they take all games seriously, and if they go to Washington with the same mentality they had when visiting the likes of Oregon, they’ll be able to dodge the bullet here. My Upset Verdict: The 13th-ranked Utes leave it until late, but they manage to squeak away with a close win to avoid the upset.

No. 4 LSU at No. 7 Alabama

This clash has been diced from countless of angles and I am sure you probably have all the facts and stats about these two teams. Based on all that, can LSU really deliver an upset against the Tide? Most definitely. But will they be able to do it against the Tide, who are favored to win big at home? Probably not…! Not if their defense rises to this big occasion. Upset Verdict: Fournette takes advantage of a couple of mistakes in Bama’s defense and makes them pay big, earning LSU a thrilling win.
