NFL 2020 Week 13 ATS Picks Expert Analysis

NFL Week 13 ATS Picks Expert Analysis

Written by on December 2, 2020

Just when you think you have a handle on the current NFL season, something happens that completely changes your perception. In some cases, it’s one of the best teams losing a star player to injury, or perhaps a fringe team getting hot in the final few weeks and making a deep run in the playoffs. The point here is that it’s never a good idea to believe that you have the season nailed down, as fortunes can change in a matter of moments. For the teams currently sitting below the playoff line, the time for that change of fortune is now. There are just 5 weeks left in the regular season, and while that is still more than enough time to make a move, each loss from this point forward becomes a little tougher to overcome. Let’s dig into Week 13 and see if we can come up with some winning ATS picks for you to cash in against their NFL odds.

Week 13 ATS Picks for the 2020 Season | NFL Betting

Cleveland Browns at Tennessee Titans (-5 ½)

Both of these teams look destined to be heading for the playoffs, although you have to say that one of them going there was more expected than the other. The Titans went on a late run last season that carried over into the postseason, where they went all the way to the AFC Championship Game. The Browns have a history of underperforming, but they are finally living up to expectations this season, going 8-3 through their first 11 games. This has all the makings of a very good game, but in terms of the point spread, you need to look at Cleveland and the fact that they are just 1-10 ATS in their last 11 road games. The Titans have struggled against the AFC North, going 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12, but I think they do enough to improve that record this weekend.

Las Vegas Raiders (-8) at New York Jets

At the top of this piece, we spoke about the teams that need to get moving now if they want to be in the playoffs. With back to back losses that has dropped them to 6-5, the Las Vegas Raiders are very much in that category. This is a team that is much better than their recent form suggests, and you have to say that a game against the winless Jets might be just what they need to get back on track. Despite not playing well these past few weeks, the Raiders are still 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games, as well as being 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games. On the flipside, the Jets have covered just 3 times in their 11 games this season. I think the Raiders put in a good performance and get a big win on Sunday.

Philadelphia Eagles at Green Bay Packers (-9 ½)

Given the state of the NFC East, it was always plausible that a team could win it and make the playoffs despite finishing well below .500. For a moment, it looked as though the Philadelphia Eagles might be that team, but a run of 3 straight losses has them losing ground. A trip to Green Bay this weekend to face the 8-3 Packers does not look like the kind of situation where they might be able to turn things around. The Eagles are just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games versus the Packers and have covered just once in their last 4 road games. Week 13 has been a good one for the Packers, covering in 5 of their last 6 games to fall on that week.
