NFL 2021 Season: New York Giants at Miami Betting Analysis

The New York Giants and Miami Dolphins are both under .500 for this season, but both teams picked up wins last week. In Week 13, both sides will look to keep the momentum that they have built rolling at the expense of one another, as the Giants and Dolphins square off in South Florida. In this game, key injuries could go a long way toward determining the outcome. Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming match between the Giants and the Dolphins so you can bet against their NFL odds.

NFL Betting Preview for NY Giants vs Miami Dolphins

New York Giants Betting Preview

Last week, the New York Giants picked up a key win over a division opponent in the Philadelphia Eagles. It was the defense of the Giants that earned the credit for that result, holding the Eagles to just seven points in a 13-7 victory. And it could be the defense that has to stand tall again this week, as the Giants are faced with a major injury question mark at the quarterback position.

Daniel Jones is questionable to play for the Giants this week due to a neck injury. If Jones is unable to go, it would be Mike Glennon to start for the Giants, which was a problem for the team when he was forced to step in for a concussed Jones earlier in the year. No matter who the quarterback is for this game, they will be facing a Miami defense that is playing well in its own right at this point.

Miami Dolphins Betting Preview

The Miami Dolphins got off to a 1-7 start this season, but have won four in a row to turn things around. Last week, they took down the Carolina Panthers at home to earn that fourth straight win, and will look for five in a row against the Giants on Sunday. If they are going to get that fifth straight victory to move to 6-7 on the year, they will need the connection between Tua Tagovailoa and Jaylen Waddle to continue to shine.

Waddle got into the end zone again last week for the Dolphins and is up over 75 catches for the year. Tagovailoa has shown a consistent rapport with Waddle, more so than with other weapons, including tight end Mike Gesicki. If the Giants can’t keep Waddle under wraps the way they did his ex-Alabama teammate DeVonta Smith last week, Miami could have another solid outing on the offensive side of the ball.

Giants vs Dolphins Pick: Dolphins +4.5

Betting this game is a little tricky given that the Giants’ quarterback situation isn’t quite solidified yet. But the injury concerns for Daniel Jones are enough to have moved the line from a field goal to the 4.5-point spread that we see here. Given that the Dolphins are still under the six to seven-point key numbers, they are worth a look in this Sunday afternoon spot against the Giants.

It is worth keeping in mind that the Dolphins are playing some of the best football in the NFL right now, while the Giants weren’t all that impressive in last week’s win. They only managed 13 points against the Eagles, and a similar offensive showing this week would not be sufficient against the surging Dolphins.
