Over the years, we have learned to trust Bill Belichick and the decisions that he has made as the head coach of the New England Patriots. Some of that shine came off when Tom Brady was essentially forced out of Foxboro, only to go on and win a Super Bowl in his first season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The word out of training camp was that the Patriots offense was a shambles, and that certainly held up last week, when they looked awful in a 23-21 loss to the New York Giants, who are not exactly a powerhouse team. Will those issues continue again this week versus the Carolina Panthers? I think they might, especially with a QB battle happening in Carolina.

Cleveland Browns Vs Philadelphia Eagles

The Cleveland Browns has been a franchise viewed as something of a joke for quite some time now. A couple of years back, it looked like they had turned a corner, but the circus is back in town heading into this season. The decision to sign DeShaun Watson to a ridiculously huge contract was always going to be an iffy decision, but it is blowing up in their face as we speak. He looked awful in his time on the field last week and is looking down the barrel of a season-long suspension if the NFL gets their way. I think all of this adds up to a loss this weekend against a Philadelphia Eagles team that is on the rise.

Arizona Cardinals Vs Baltimore Ravens

I don’t want to be the guy who ends up being a jinx, but it is very hard to bet against the Baltimore Ravens in the preseason. Going all the way back to 2016, the Ravens have now put together a 21-game win streak in preseason matchups. While it is certainly an impressive streak, it’s one that means very little in the grand scheme of things, except to bettors, who are on the lookout for these types of trends. It doesn’t seem to matter who the Raven play in the preseason, as they always seem to find a way to win. For that reason alone, I have the Arizona Cardinals in as a sure loser in Week 3 of the preseason.
