Last Texans vs Chargers Meeting
In 2016, the Chargers were 21-13 winners in Houston. Philip Rivers threw for 242 yards and three touchdowns, while Dontrelle Inman had 119 yards receiving and a touchdown. DeAndre Hopkins caught just 5-of-8 targets for 40 yards in the win. He was wrapped up in Jalen Ramsey’s coverage all day. Carlos Hyde rushed 20 times for 90 yards. Linebacker Whitney Mercilus was named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 2. Mercilus recorded a pair of sacks and forced two fumbles. That was a week after he recorded a sack and picked off Drew Brees in the red zone Week 1.
