2023 US Open Odds for the Quarterfinals Matches

The quarter finals are now set in the US Open on both the men’s and women’s draws after a couple of Monday upsets. Madison Keys knocked off No. 3 Jess Pegula, and No. 5 Ons Jabeur also went down in the bottom half of the women’s draw.

The men’s matches had one upset on Monday as No. 12 Alexander Zverev knocked off no. 6 Jannik Sinner in five sets. MyBookie has US Open tennis odds for Tuesday’s quarterfinal matches.

Djokovic A Big Favorite

No. 2 seed Novak Djokovic is the overall favorite to win the tournament, and he is a big favorite in the quarters. For the Tuesday match against American Taylor Fritz, Djokovic is -724 on the money line. Fritz is +425 to pull off the upset, and he’s never defeated Djokovic in seven tries.

The under 35.5 games is probably a smart play in this match, too. In the previous seven matches, six have been straight set wins for Djokovic. The only time Fritz has won a set was at the 2021 Australian Open after Djokovic won the first two sets.

Djokovic dispatched Fritz 6-0, 6-4 last month. This match will be earlier in the day, and the crowd will be fully behind Fritz, but he’s going to have to be perfect to win this match or even a set.

Tiafoe Favored in All-American Showdown

Americans Frances Tiafoe and Ben Shelton have never met in an official match. One of them will be just the second American male to play in a US Open Semifinal since 2006. Tiafoe ended that drought last year, and Shelton is the youngest American in a quarterfinal since 2002.

Tiafoe has the experience advantage, and he’s favored at -265 at MyBookie. Shelton is a big hitter with multiple 149 mph serves in his last win, and he’s +202 on the money line. Shelton lost in the quarters at the Australian Open, while Tiafoe won at this stage last year before falling to Carlos Alcaraz in the semis.

The over 39.5 seems like a good bet in this match at -119. Both players have big serves, and the break chances will be rare. At least one set should go to a tiebreak, and as long as both players win a set, the over hits.

Gauff The Favorite

All eyes will be on American teenager Coco Gauff in the morning match on Arthur Ashe Stadium court. After the upset of Iga Swiatek, Gauff is the favorite to win the top half of the draw and make her second slam final. But first, she has to get past Jelena Ostapenko, the player who beat Swiatek on Sunday.

These players have met twice, and both have a win. Gauff won their only 2023 matchup in straight sets at the Australian Open. She is -260 to win on Tuesday, while Ostapenko is +204 to pull off another upset and reach her first-ever US Open semifinal.

Ostapenka has a grand slam title, but both players have big match experience. Gauff showed some major nerves after winning the first set in the last round, and as a result, she lost the second set. But she bounced back to win the match, and she will have the crowd behind her all day as she looks to reach the semis.
