With the July 4th holiday landing right in the middle of the week, the ladies of pro-basketball will get a well-deserved day or two off. We are going to look ahead at the week, as well as a couple of games on the weekend, to see if we can pick some winners and put a little extra money in your pocket. Without further ado, let’s get right to the action, but don’t forget to check the latest WNBA Odds right before placing your betting ticket!

Top WNBA Betting Picks of the Week – July 2nd Edition

Connecticut Sun vs. LA Sparks – Tuesday

Basketball fans in LA are sure to be all abuzz today after learning that LeBron James will be making the Staples Center his home next season. The Sparks will be looking to keep the building warm until he arrives, and they are certainly in the hunt in the Western Conference, sitting at 12-5, a half game out of the lead. The West is loaded this season, but it’s one of the best teams in the East coming to visit on Tuesday, with the Connecticut Sun sitting a game out of first place over in the East. The Sun look to be up against it here, though, as they are 2 games below .500 on the road, while the Sparks are 8-1 at home. Another win for LA here. Score Prediction: Connecticut Sun 80 – LA Sparks 88

Indiana Fever vs. Dallas Wings – Thursday

Not the most glamorous match-up on the calendar this week in the WNBA, but one where we can potentially win some money. The Fever is off to an awful start to the season, winning just 1 game to this point. The Dallas Wings are sitting second bottom in a very good Western Conference and are currently a game below .500. Neither team is having a great year, but the thing that really stands out here is that Indiana has yet to pick up a win on the road. Dallas, meanwhile, is a game above .500 at home, so look for them to get the win here. Score Prediction: Indiana Fever 73 – Dallas Wings 84

Seattle Storm vs. Atlanta Dream – Friday

There is only one game on the schedule for Friday, but it looks to be a good one. The Seattle Storm are one of three teams separated by a half game at the top of the Western Conference, boasting a 12-5 record on the season. They have certainly been better at home than on the road but are still 4-2 in enemy territory. Seattle should be one of your WNBA Betting picks of the week. The Dream is playing .500 ball to start the season, with their best efforts coming on home court, where they are currently 4-2. The low-scoring Dream is going to try and stifle the Storm offense, but I think they come up short. Score Prediction: Seattle Strom 82 – Atlanta Dream 75

Minnesota Lynx vs. Chicago Sky – Saturday

To get an idea of just how good the Western Conference is this season, look no further than the Minnesota Lynx. At 10-6, they are 4th in the conference, yet that record would be good enough to have them tied for the lead in the East. Saturday will see the Lynx head to Chicago to face a Sky team that has started the season 4 games below .500. The Lynx have a winning record on the road and should be more than good enough to get the win and keep pace with the leaders in the West. Score Prediction: Minnesota Lynx 84 – Chicago Sky 77
