NCAA Football Georgia vs Georgia Tech Betting Analysis & Pick

NCAA Football Georgia vs Georgia Tech Betting Analysis & Pick

It is the biggest week in college football for a couple of different reasons. Week 13 is better known as Rivalry Week, where we see teams who legitimately do no like one another go head-to-head. As big as that is, it pales in comparison to the battles for spots in the Conference Championship Games and the playoffs. Of course, we will need to see those championship games played before we see the final 4 teams announced by the Playoff Committee, but the games played this weekend will go a long way towards deciding who is in and who misses out. Georgia have already clinched their spot in the SEC Championship Game and look like a playoff lock, but they will still want to put in a good show against Georgia Tech. The Bulldogs are in as a 36-point favorite, with the point total set at 54 ½. Let’s take a look at our College Football Betting analysis for the upcoming match between the Georgia Bulldogs and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Why bet on the Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs are the #1 team in the nation for very good reason. Not only is their defense the best in the country this season, it is arguably one of the best that we have seen in recent history. You still here people suggesting that the Bulldogs offense could be a problem, this is a team that has managed to average 34 PPG this season, with those points coming against some very good teams. This game looks like a blowout in the making, but the Dawgs cannot be caught looking ahead to the championship game against Alabama next weekend in Atlanta. I don’t think that will be a problem, though, as this is a matchup where Georgia has won 8 of the last 10. The Bulldogs have covered the spread in each of their last 5 road games and have seen the UNDER hit in 5 of their last 7 overall.

Why bet on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

You don’t like to kick a team while they are down, but Georgia Tech looks to be on a beating this weekend as they look to try and snap out of their current 5-game losing skid. The scary part is that they have not been that bad offensively in many of those losses. They were blanked last week in a blowout against Notre Dame, but in the 4 losses prior to that, they were averaging close to 30 PPG and still finding a way to lose. The chances of them putting up these kinds of points against the Georgia D seems slim to none, though, so this might be more of a game about damage control than anything else. While the point spread is big, it is worth noting that Tech have failed to cover in 11 straight versus Georgia. 12 of their last 18 games played in November have gone OVER.

Expert Pick and Final Score Prediction

The biggest challenge with this game would appear to be deciding just how big the margin of victory id going to be for Georgia. They will start pulling guys early if it gets out of control, so we might see some garbage time points from, which could take it OVER, although I still think the Bulldogs cover.

Pick: Georgia Bulldogs 55 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets 10
