College Football Matchups Worth Betting in Week 10

Written by on November 2, 2022

It’s Week 10 of the College Football season, and we have some very intriguing matchups this week.

With every game being so important in the quest for a playoff berth, teams in the running can’t afford a loss at this point in the season. When looking over the games this week, we’ve found our top five games to bet on. Here are the games and a brief breakdown of each for your NCAA Football Betting Odds.

Top 5 College Football Betting Matchups of the Week

Clemson Tigers @ Notre Dame Fighting Irish (+3.5)

Well, so much for home-field advantage in this one. In their four home games this season, Notre Dame has failed to cover the spread. They were heavily favored over Marshall and Stanford, and the Irish lost both of those games in South Bend.

Clemson is undefeated on the season. On the betting front, the Tigers have covered the spread in three of their four games away from “Death Valley.”

Even though Notre Dame always seems to find a way to knock off ranked teams, we don’t see it happening in this one. Clemson pulls away late from Notre Dame, winning the game and covering the spread.

Tennessee Volunteers @ Georgia Bulldogs (-8.5)

Over the last few seasons, if we talked about a #1 vs. #2 matchup, we were normally talking about Georgia vs. Alabama. That isn’t the case this season, as Tennessee has replaced Alabama. The high-powered offense of Tennessee will battle the strong defense of Georgia in Athens.

We know Georgia will be able to score points against the Tennessee defense. We think this one will be another high-scoring game.

We’re not really sure who’s going to win, but we’re leaning towards Georgia. The Bulldogs win a tight one but won’t cover the spread.

Michigan State Spartans @ Illinois Fighting Illini (-16.5)

Since Michigan State has lost numerous players to suspension after last Saturday’s fight in the tunnel after the game, the Illini are now 16.5-point favorites.

Michigan State has been a huge disappointment this season, while the Illini are one of the biggest surprise teams in the nation. Illinois is 4-1 against the spread as a favorite, while the Spartans are 1-5 against the spread as an underdog.

With Michigan State losing numerous players and the Fighting Illini have a ton of momentum, we’re going with Illinois in this one.

Texas Longhorns (-2.5) @ Kansas State Wildcats

The oddsmakers seem to think that the Kansas State magic is going to wear off on Saturday. We disagree with them. Texas has yet to show us that they have what it takes to win the big one.

We know that the Longhorns have won the last five meetings between these two, but there seems to be something special about this Wildcat team. We think they will win a close one.

UCLA Bruins (-10.5) @ Arizona State

The Sun Devils have had a rough season. With the firing of Herm Edwards after a horrible loss, this team has never gotten things going. UCLA knows that in order to keep its Pac-12 championship dreams alive, they can’t lose another game.

Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Zach Charbonnet are going to be too much for Arizona State to handle. The Bruins win by 14.
