NCAA Football National Championship Odds: Georgia Favorite to Repeat in 2023

In just a few days, we’ll see the semifinals of the College Football Playoffs being played out. We have two great matchups in the Peach and Fiesta Bowls, with the winners moving on and the losers going home. Let’s look at the NCAA Football National Championship Odds of the teams that still in the fight for the title.

Who Has the Best Odds to Win the College Football National Championship?

Georgia Bulldogs -175

The top-ranked team in the nation, the Georgia Bulldogs, has also earned the top seed in the College Football Playoffs. They will play the #4 seed, the Ohio State Buckeyes, in the Peach Bowl on December 31st. Georgia comes into this one undefeated and are looking to win their second-straight National Championship.

While Ohio State has one of the nation’s best offenses, Georgia will counter that with one of the best defenses in the country. After losing eight players to the NFL Draft, the Bulldogs reloaded, and they are only giving up just over 13 points per game.

Offensively, Georgia has been much better than expected. Stetson Bennett has thrown for over 3000 yards behind a stellar offensive line. With numerous running backs seeing action, Georgia has also seen a lot of success with their rushing attack.

Bennett’s favorite weapon is tight-end Brock Bowers. This offense averaged nearly 40 points per game, and Ohio State and potentially Michigan or TCU will have a hard time stopping them.

Michigan Wolverines +300

The 2 seed in the playoffs, the Michigan Wolverines, are also undefeated. They rolled through the Big 10, including a dominating victory at Ohio State in the final game of the regular season. Jim Harbaugh will be making his second-straight appearance in the College Football Playoffs.

Offensively, Michigan averages just over 40 points per game while only allowing 13 per game. Michigan has the second-ranked defense in the nation. We’ll see if they can handle a multi-faceted TCU offense with one of the nation’s best quarterbacks leading the way.

Michigan will meet TCU in the Fiesta Bowl.

Ohio State +375

Despite the oddsmakers giving Ohio State a third-best chance at winning the national title, the Buckeyes come into the playoffs as the #4 seed. They will have their hands full with the Georgia Bulldogs. Offensively, the Buckeyes can play with anyone. The defensive side of the ball has once again been an issue for Ohio State.

Quarterback CJ Stroud is one of the best offensive players in the country, but will he and his Buckeyes be able to score enough points on one of the nation’s best defenses? We shall see.

TCU Horned Frogs +1500

The third-seeded team in the playoffs are the biggest underdog in the field. TCU is averaging just over 40 points per game, but they will be facing one of the nation’s best defenses. Max Duggan and the Horned Frogs offense has had some big come-from-behind victories this season, so you can never count them out.

The TCU defense is also a very good unit, but they will have to play well to stop the powerful rushing attack of the Wolverines. We’ll see if they can sneak away with a huge Fiesta Bowl win to advance to the title tilt.
