There is an argument to be made that college football is the most entertaining sport to watch on a regular basis. The number of upsets that we see on a weekly basis makes the sport incredibly exciting to be a part of, but it also makes it one of the toughest to wager on. We had made a pretty solid start to the season with our picks, but we ran into a bit of a wall last weekend, going just 3-6 with our Week 6 selections, taking us to 34-23 overall on the season. It was on off week to be sure, but all you can do is get back in the saddle and hope for something better this time around. Miami-OH Redhawks at Bowling Green Falcons – UNDER 47 ½

The reality for both of these teams is that the high bar for the season would be to become bowl eligible. The Redhawks are halfway home, going 3-3 through the opening 6 weeks, while Bowling Green has some work to do after getting out to a 2-4 start. That is a discussion for another day, though, as all we are concerned with here is the point total. There are some convincing arguments to be made for both choices, but I am leaning toward the UNDER with this one. Miami-OH has seen 7 of their last 10 games go UNDER the point total, while also seeing 11 of their last 13 Week 7 games go that same route.

Charlotte 49ers at UAB Blazers – OVER 62

This looks like another weekend where the Charlotte 49ers might be about to endure another losing effort, as they head to UAB with a 1-5 record to start the season. The Blazers, meanwhile, are 3-2 on the season and look set to flex their offensive muscles against a 49ers team that is definitely struggling this year. The 49ers are on a run where they have seen each of their last 5 games go OVER the point total. The OVER has also hit in 8 of their last 9 games played on a Saturday, but what about the Blazers? They tend to see the scores get higher when they play a Conference USA opponent, with 6 of the last 7 of those games going OVER the point total.

Clemson Tigers at Florida State Seminoles – UNDER 51

We have a huge ACC matchup coming this weekend, with Clemson looking to remain unbeaten and in the top 4 with a trip to face the 4-2 Florida State Seminoles. The Tigers have dominated this matchup in recent seasons, but we are all about the O/U when talking about this one. The UNDER has hit in 5 of the last 8 games that Clemson has played, including this past weekend versus Boston College. Things are even more convincing when you look at Florida State, who have seen 8 of their last 10 games overall fall UNDER the point total. I think that all adds up to these two combining to go UNDER this Saturday night.
