The Appalachian State Mountaineers come into the game with an 8-4 record on the season. The Mountaineers have won five straight games, including a blowout win at home over Appalachian State Southern last Saturday.
For the Troy Trojans, they have been red hot. They come into the game with a 10-2 mark on the season. The Trojans are winners of nine straight games. Troy beat Southern Mississippi on Saturday 35-17.

Mountaineers Led by Aguilar
The Appalachian State Mountaineers clinched a berth in this game with Joey Aguliar throwing four passing touchdowns. During the season, the signal caller was strong. The Mountaineers actually finished second in the East Division of the Sun Belt, but James Madison is not allowed to play in the game. The Troy Trojans are red hot. After losing back to back games to Kansas State and James Madison, they have never looked back. The win on Saturday saw Gunnar Watson throw for two touchdowns. Watson comes into the game with 3,147 yards and 26 touchdowns on the season. The running game for Troy has been anchored by Kimani Vidal, who rushed 254 times this season.
Jabre Barber has been the top target for the Trojans. In a game earlier this month, he scored the game winning touchdown to down Louisiana. The Trojans team defense is one of the best in the country, as they are allowing teams to score just 16.7 points per game.
The Trojans ran away with the West Division of the Sun Belt. They went 7-1, while Texas State, South Troy and Arkansas all finished with a 4-4 mark. The Sun Belt saw 12 teams finish .500 or above. Southern Miss and UL Monroe were the only teams that did not.
