Top Five College Football Week 6 Games to Bet On 2022

The Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma highlights the top five for this week. The Sooners are reeling after two straight losses. A victory over the Longhorns would right the ship. Also in the top 25 are a couple of huge SEC clashes and a Pac-12 battle. See below for NCAAF Week 6’s must bet games.

2022 NCAA Football Week 6

  • When: Thursday, Oct. 5 – Saturday, Oct. 8

8-Tennessee Volunteers -3 at 25-LSU Tigers | Saturday, Oct. 8

LSU is someplace they haven’t been in a while, ranked in the top 25. Granted, the Tigers are ranked 25th. So they’re on the custp of being unranked. Still, any ranking, even the cusp of the top 25, is better than last season.

Tennessee has climbed into the top 10. When was the last time we could say that? The Vols head to Baton Rouge after a bye. In their previous game, Tennessee beat rival Florida 38-33. The Volunteers are for real. Vols cover.

NCAAF Week 5 Pick: Tennessee -3

Texas Longhorns -7 vs. Oklahoma Sooners | Saturday, Oct. 8

Texas versus Oklahoma is often one of the top games of the season much less the week. But in this year’s Red River Rivalry, neither team is ranked.

The Horns have gone 4-1 against the spread this season. Oklahoma is 1-3 ATS in their last 4.

Oklahoma has lost 2 straight. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel may not play in this. But even if Gabriel sits, the Sooners should bounce back with a decent performance. Backing Texas at -7 is asking too much.

NCAAF Week 5 Pick: Oklahoma +7

Texas Tech Red Raiders at  7-Oklahoma State Cowboys -9.5 | Saturday, Oct. 8

Texas Tech upset the Longhorns a couple of games back but on Saturday, Tech faces off against the Big 12’s best program.

Oklahoma State is 4-0 straight up and 3-1 against the spread. The Cowboys marched into Waco last Saturday and blasted Baylor 36-25. The Red Raiders are going to have a tough time keeping the Pokes from scoring 50.

NCAAF Week 5 Pick: Oklahoma State -9.5

11-Utah Utes -4.5 at 18-UCLA Bruins | Saturday, Oct. 8

Undefeated UCLA hosts Utah after playing their best game of the season. The Bruins upset Washington 40-32.

Since an opening game loss to Florida in The Swamp, Utah has reeled off 4 straight wins and covers.

The Utes are rolling. Not only that, but Utes QB Cam Rising had his best game of the season in Utah’s 42-16 win against Oregon State.

In their last, the Bruins gave up 32 points to Washington Also, UCLA played so well and so hard to beat Washington, there’s a chance the Bruins bounce. Utah wins and covers.

NCAAF Week 5 Pick: Utah -4.5

Texas A&M Aggies at 1-Alabama Crimson Tide -24 | Saturday, Oct. 8

Texas A&M will be a good football team. Jimbo Fisher landed the season’s top recruiting class. So the future is bright, but this season, the Aggies have no chance of keeping it close versus the Tide.

The problem for Texas A&M is their vaunted defense is too young and inexperienced. Each player on the D believe he’s the man and, who knows? Maybe, each player is, but you must learn how to play college football.

At this level, you can’t always rely on your physical talents. Even if Bryce Young doesn’t play for Alabama, the Tide roll to a win and cover. Nick Saban wants this one bad. So the Bama HC won’t call off the dogs until the Crimson Tide break the Aggies into pieces.

NCAAF Week 5 Pick: Alabama -24
