2022-23 NCAAF College Football Season

  • When: August 27, 2022 – Dec. 10, 2022

Utah State at Alabama | Saturday, Sep. 3

The Crimson Tide is the Aggies’ second opponent of the season. On August 27, Utah State throws down against UConn, a game they should win.

Alabama will be a different story. If this were to happen on a neutral field or in Utah, the Aggies might have a chance to cover. But at -38, Bama is a good play.

Nick Saban’s squad will be looking for payback this season after falling to rival Georgia in the 2022 National Championship. Payback includes going undefeated and dominating in every game.

Utah State at BYU | Thursday, Sep. 29

In 2022, the annual rivalry game versus the Cougars happens in Provo. That should give BYU an edge.

The Cougars boast an upperclassmen laden team. But so do the Aggies. If quarterback Logan Bonner improves off last season, he wasn’t bad, throwing for over 3,600 yards, 12 picks, and 36 TDs, the Aggies will surprise.

Utah State can beat BYU. Give the Aggies a chance.

Utah State vs. Air Force | Saturday, Oct. 8

Last year’s top team in the Mountain West wasn’t the Aggies, Boise State, or Colorado State, it was the Air Force Falcons. Although that surprises, it shouldn’t.

Air Force is a solid program. But this season, the Falcons will start 6 sophomores on offense and 5 sophomores on defense. Also, Utah State hosts Air Force. The Aggies win and cover.

Utah State at Colorado State | Saturday, Oct. 15

The Rams weren’t a good team in 2021. This season, Colorado State should be much better. The defense is solid with 7 seniors, 3 juniors, and a single freshman.

The offensive line boasts 3 senior transfers and a junior transfer along the offensive line. If freshman transfer quarterback Clay Millen, Clay played at Nevada last season, develops by this game, the Rams should win and cover.

Utah State at Wyoming | Saturday, Oct. 22

Wyoming quarterback Andrew Peasley wasn’t great last season. Andrew didn’t play much. When he did, he didn’t play well. Peasley could improve and Logan Bonner would still outplay the Cowboys’ new gunslinger.

But even if Bonner outplays Peasley, it won’t mean the Aggies win or cover in this game. Wyoming running back Titus Swen rumbled for 785 yards and 7 TDs in 2021.

Swen averaged 5.9 yards per carry. The Cowboys grab the SU and ATS victories.

Utah State at Boise State | Friday, Nov. 25

In the past, Boise State has played like a Power 5 Conference team. The Broncos fell back in 2021, finishing the season with a 7-5 record.

Expect a huge bounce back from the Broncos this season. Boise State is loaded on both sides of the football. Hank Bachmeier is a senior quarterback playing behind 3 seniors and a junior offensive line, a senior tight-end, and can throw to 3 starting senior wide receivers.

The defense has 10 seniors and a sophomore. Boise State should roll versus their non-Power 5 Conference opponents. Expect Boise to throw their hat in the ring for a New Year’s Day Bowl bid. Broncos rock the Aggies with a huge win and cover.
