College Football Week 11 Straight Up Picks & Betting Analysis

Tonight is the night when we find out the next college football rankings put out by the Playoff Committee. The only thing that seems to be for sure at this point is that Georgia will be back at #1 after defeating Tennessee, the team that the committee had as #1 in their initial rankings for the season. After that, we are probably looking at Ohio State at #2, but what the committee chooses to do after that remains to be seen. Every win and loss take on more importance now, as there is limited time left to impress the members of the committee. It all begins this weekend with Week 11 of the college football season, and as we do every week, we have some picks that we hope will be winners. Let’s start with a trio of SU picks for Week 11 so you can get ready to make your bets against the NCAA Football Lines.

Week 11 SU Picks | 2022 College Football Betting Predictions

Pittsburgh Panthers over Virginia Cavaliers

For the teams out of the running for a conference championship or playoff spot, the final few weeks of the season are all about securing a bowl spot. That is what Pittsburgh can do this weekend as they hit the road to face the Virginia Cavaliers. The Panthers are currently sitting at 5-4 and will become bowl eligible with a win this weekend, where they are in as a modest 3 ½ point road favorite. Pitt is coming off a win last weekend, while the Cavaliers are continuing to struggle, winning just once in their last 6 games. Pittsburgh has won 5 of their last 6 meetings with the Cavaliers and I like them to improve on that trend.

LSU Tigers over Arkansas Razorbacks

One of the big surprises of the season is that Alabama will not be in the playoffs, and now look like a longshot at best to win the SEC West Division. With their win over the Crimson Tide this past weekend, the LSU Tigers are in the driver’s seat in the West, looking like the team most likely to head to Atlanta to face the Georgia Bulldogs in the SEC Championship Game. They have what looks to be a very winnable game against Arkansas on the road this weekend, but the bookies are not fully convinced, as they have the Tigers in as a 3-point favorite. I would actually be tempted to play the Tigers to cover as well as taking them to win here, as I think they are way too good for the Razorbacks to handle.

Appalachian State Mountaineers over Marshall Thundering Herd

Once again, we are looking at a game with bowl eligibility ramifications, as both of these teams are sitting at 5-4 and just 1 win away from becoming bowl eligible. Both teams will probably get there by the time the regular season is over, but one of them will clinch this weekend. There is really very little separating these two teams, but there are some trends that have me looking at Appalachian State as the winner this weekend, the first of which is that they are 8-1 SU in their last 9 meetings with teams from the East Division. They are also an impressive 17-2 SU in their last 19 games played in the month of November.
