As we’re nearing the end of the regular season, every game is very important. Teams that are in contention for conference championships and possibly a playoff berth know that a loss at this point in the season could do irreparable damage.

We’re not thinking of losses; we’re thinking about winning. It’s time to take a look at a couple of games that have caught our NCAA Football Betting eye. We’re now going to give you our “sure winners” for Week 12 of the College Football season.

Miami Hurricanes @ Clemson Tigers (-19.5)

When Mario Cristobal left Oregon to come back to his alma mater, the University of Miami, Hurricane fans felt that “The U” was back. After a successful recruiting season, Miami headed into the season with huge aspirations. Unfortunately for Cristobal and Hurricane fans, things haven’t gone their way. Miami and their 5-5 record will head to Death Valley on Saturday to take on the Clemson Tigers.

We’ll start with Clemson. Their National Championship hopes took a huge hit a few days ago when the Tigers were dominated by the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. Clemson rebounded well last weekend with a 31-16 win over Louisville. Clemson has already clinched a berth in the ACC title game, where they will take on the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Miami is coming off of an impressive victory over Georgia Tech on Saturday. Miami knows that they need to win at least one more game in order to earn a bowl bid. Both teams have had quarterback issues, as Miami’s Tyler Van Dyke has been replaced by freshman Jacurri Brown, while Clemson’s DJ Uiagalelei has had his fair share of problems as well.

In looking at some of the betting trends surrounding this game, the Hurricanes are 1-8 against the spread in their last nine games. The last four times that these two have met, the favorite has covered the spread. We think this trend continues. Clemson is far and away the better team, and the Tigers know that they need to impress the playoff committee. Clemson will win by at least 21 points, thus making them one of our “sure winners” of the week.

Ohio State Buckeyes (-27.5) @ Maryland Terrapins

The Ohio State Buckeyes have one of the most dominant offenses in the country. They’ll take that offense to Maryland to take on the Terrapins. The Terps can score points as well, as they’re averaging 28 points per game. Maryland’s offense couldn’t muster any points last Saturday as they were shut out by Penn State. Ohio State had 662 yards of offense in a 56-14 victory over Indiana.

We just can’t see Maryland slowing Ohio State’s offense down. While Maryland may be able to score some points on the Ohio State defense, there’s now way they can keep up with the Buckeyes. Thus far this season, the only thing that’s been able to slow down the Buckeyes’ offense is poor weather.

Another of our “sure winners” of the week is the Ohio State Buckeyes. They will continue to let CJ Stroud go wild and help himself in his quest for the Heisman Trophy. Ohio State beats Maryland by 35.
