Outside of the playoffs, Week 14 is arguably the biggest on the college football calendar. While we have a couple of regular season games on tap, the majority of the action we will see will be conference championship games. For some, a win this weekend will be the end of a great season, while for others, it could be the key to securing a spot in the playoffs. There are a few teams who are on the brink of a spot in the final four, and how they perform this weekend might well sway the Playoff Committee one way or another. Given that many of these games are evenly matched, picking a winner could be tough, but for the purposes of this College Football Betting piece, we are only concerned with the point total, so let’s get to out picks.

Akron Zips at Buffalo Bulls – UNDER 56 ½

Like we said at the top of this piece, not all the action this weekend is about potential championship winning football. The weekend actually begins on Friday afternoon, with Akron hitting the road to face the Buffalo Bulls. It has been a nightmare year for the Zips, who come into this one with a 1-9 record. For the Bulls, they need a win to become bowl eligible, as they are at 5-6 after losing each of their last 3 games. The UNDER has hit in 4 of the last 6 meetings between these teams, and while I like Buffalo to win comfortably, I just don’t see this one getting over that total.

Coastal Carolina Chanticleers Vs Troy Trojans – OVER 48

The Sun Belt Championship Game goes on Saturday afternoon, with Coastal Carolina heading into it as an underdog. They have had a rough go of things of late, seeing their game against Virginia cancelled after the tragedy on the Cavaliers campus, which was then followed up by a poor showing and a heavy loss this past weekend. On the flipside Troy are flying high and look like a good bet to end the regular season as the Sun Belt Champion. While both teams are trending UNDER of late, each of their last 5 meetings have gone OVER the point total. I think this total is low enough that they will be able to combine to go OVER in this one.

Fresno State Bulldogs Vs Boise State Broncos – OVER 53 ½

If you like offensive football and are on the lookout for a potential shootout on championship weekend, this might be the game to keep an eye on. Fresno State has seen the OVER hit in 5 of their last 6 games overall, as well as in 4 of their last 5 games played away from home. While this is a championship game, Boise State have a definite advantage in that it will be played on their home field. That is important when looking at the point total given that the Broncos have seen the OVER hit in each of their last 5 games played on their iconic blue turf. I am all about the OVER with this one.
