2021 NCAAF Season Week 9 SU Betting Picks & Analysis

2021 NCAAF Season Week 9 SU Betting Picks & Analysis

We are at the point in the college football season where it is getting tougher and tougher for teams outside of the top 4 to make a move. Time is running out and the teams at the top are digging their heels in to maintain their position. Given what has gone down already this season, though, none of the teams in the top 4 should feel particularly safe. This is especially true when you consider that this is the last opportunity to impress the Playoff Committee, who will deliver their first official rankings on November 2. It is going to be interesting to see if they keep the Cincinnati Bearcats in the top 4, as they have shown in the past that they have a preference for Power 5 teams. We will find out the answer to that next week, but for now, let’s get into our SU picks for Week 9 of the college football season so you can bet against their NCAAF odds.

College Football SU Picks for Week 9 to Bet On

Maryland Terrapins over Indiana Hoosiers

Once you get into a losing streak, it can be tough to break out, but one of these teams is going to do just that this weekend. Both the Terrapins and the Hoosiers are coming into this one on 3-game losing skids, so it’s tough to have any kind of confidence in either of them. You could look at Indiana and see that they have had the better of recent meetings with the Terrapins, but this is also a team that has managed to score just 22 points in their last 3 games. They are also 5-10 in their last 15 games played in the month of October, so not a lot to like there. You are not going to find a lot to like about Maryland either, but they have at least been consistently covering the spread at home, and since they are in as the favorite for this one, let’s take them to get the SU win.

Michigan Wolverines over Michigan State Spartans

One of the best battles going on in college football right now is in the Big Ten, particularly in the East Division, where you have a trio of teams sitting with unbeaten conference records. One of them is going to take their first loss of the season this weekend when Michigan and Michigan State square off in what is basically an elimination game for both the Conference Championship and the playoffs. Both of these teams are sitting at 7-0 and still have playoff aspirations, so this is arguably the biggest game on the schedule this weekend. The Spartans have had the best of this matchup in recent years, but I think that too many people are sleeping on the Wolverines this season. I am taking Michigan to get the big win on the road.

Georgia Bulldogs over Florida Gators

Stranger things have happened, but if you look at the remaining schedule for the Georgia Bulldogs, this realistically looks like their last potential stumbling block on their way to a perfect season and an appearance in the college football playoffs. They come into this one as a 2 TD favorite, but I think the odds really do go out the window when you have a rivalry game as heated as this one. These tow teams legitimately do not like one another, and while Florida is having a disappointing season, you can bet that they are going to up their game this weekend in Jacksonville. The question, though, is whether they can hurt a Georgia defense that has not taken any real hits this season. I don’t see it happening and have Georgia for the win.
