2022 NCAAF Win Totals Betting Predictions: Power 5 Conferences Teams That Will Reach the 10-Win Mark

In professional sports, there tends to be a certain level of continuity that can help you get a handle on what any given team might do in a new season based in what they did in the past. That’s a little more difficult in the college game, as we often see teams lose a lot of starters every year to the NFL Draft. While the best teams are able to recruit the most talented players available, there is no guarantee that the new guys will deliver the goods to match the talent that they are replacing. One thing to look at is the bookies win totals for every team. If you see a drop off from that total and what a team did last season, it might mean they are ready to take a backward step. Let’s take a look at the Power 5 conferences to see if we can figure out which teams might hit the 10-win mark, and you can plan your bets against their NCAAF Regular Season Wins Odds.

College Football Betting Predictions: Which Teams Can Reach the 10-Win Mark?

ACC

The Clemson Tigers needed a win in their bowl game to hit 10 wins last season in what was very much a down year for them. I think they sort out the issues from last season and get into double digits in 2022. Wake Forest had 11 wins last season, but with their win total set at 6 1/2, a drop-off is expected. NC State just missed out in 2021, getting 9 wins on the year. With a bit of luck, maybe they can hit 10 wins.

Big 12

The obvious pick for double-digit wins here is the Oklahoma Sooners, as they have made a habit of getting there over the past few years. The Oklahoma State Cowboys and Baylor Bears both had 12 wins last season, and while matching that is going to be tough, both could still be considered a decent bet to hit the 10-win mark.

Big Ten

Again, we have a couple of obvious choices here, with both the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Michigan Wolverines looking like the most capable of hitting 10 wins on the season. In fact, quite a few pundits are labelling the Buckeyes as the team to beat this season and a likely playoff candidate, so a minimum of 10 wins would be necessary to make that a reality. Michigan State and Iowa are another two teams with potential.

PAC 12

Here is where things start to get a little trickier, as the PAC 12 is on a run where they haven’t been able to send a team to the playoffs for a few years now. The Utah Utes and Oregon Ducks both had 10 wins last season, but with Oregon opening the season against Georgia, they might be behind the 8-ball early and looking at a near perfect season after that to hit those 10 wins. I don’t have a ton of confidence in either of those teams.

SEC

Once more, we have a pair of very obvious choices here, with both the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide likely to be double-digit winners. Can Kentucky replicate their very good season from last year, and can Ole Miss once again cross the 10-win mark? Florida might get a bump with a new head coach, but I’m not so sure they are ready to jump from 6 to 10 wins in a single season.
