9INE vs 777 Esports | CCT North Europe Series #2

9INE and 777 Esports will meet on Friday, November 25, in the first round of CCT North Europe Series #2. It will mark the first meeting between the two CS:GO squads and 777 Esports’ first match without H4RR3, who was let go from the team on November 15.

It’s still unclear who will step in for H4RR3, but no matter who 777 Esports bring in, it likely won’t matter too much. That’s mainly because one player, especially a stand-in, won’t be able to help 777 Esports turn things around.

The Norwegian squad is 3-3 across their last six matches, with wins against Entropy (2-1), Apeks.R (2-1), and Oilers (2-0), but they’ve also lost against los kogutos (1-23), PACT (0-2) and the rematch against Apeks.R (1-2).

Moreover, 777 Esports haven’t won a single tournament this year, and the only time they came close was a couple of weeks back during Telialigaen Fall 2022. But knowing that it was a low-tier tournament, even their third-fourth place finish isn’t too convincing.

9INE, on the other side, won ESL Challenger League Season 42: Europe in late October, which is fairly impressive. They’ve since not achieved much, though, with early exits from CCT Central Europe Series #3, European Development Championship Season 6, and ESL Mistrzostwa Polski Autumn 2022.

Much like 777 Esports, 9INE are not in the best shape, with just two wins from their last six outings (2-4), granted they had to face tougher opponents in Copenhagen Flames, forZe, Illuminar Gaming, and Team Falcons, who the Poles defeated (2-0) on Tuesday.

Talent-wise, there isn’t much to separate 777 and 9INE, but the latter have shown higher heights. So while this game can easily extend to three maps, 9INE should come out on top.

Prediction: 9INE to win

Illuminar Gaming vs Into The Breach | CCT North Europe Series #2

Illuminar Gaming have been playing exceptionally well lately, winning 12 of their last 14 games.

Even though some of those Ws came against weaker teams, Illuminar Gaming have shown a lot during European Development Championship Season 6 and CCT North Europe Series #2: Closed Qualifier, beating teams that are equally as strong as Into The Breach.

Into The Breach are 4-2 across their last six outings, with defeats against Dynamo Eclot and Copenhagen Flames. Meanwhile, their only wins came against third-tier teams in 7AM, ESTOWNIA, Legates, and eMasters.

There’s nothing about ITB’s recent showings that would suggest they can compete with Illuminar Gaming. They’ve had some flashes of greatness in September but have been largely disappointing ever since, and their shaky showings, even against lesser teams, suggest that ITB will struggle here.

Illuminar Gaming are in better form and are playing better. This should be an easy victory for the Polish squad.

Prediction: Illuminar Gaming -1.5 maps
