The LPL League of Legends league China is now very much heading down the homestretch of the spring regular season, but there are still some playoff spots and seeding to be decided. The top 8 teams in the LPL will make it into the postseason, so even for the teams who have secured a spot, this is not the time to let up, as they are all looking for the best seeding possible. There are 3 games on the schedule for Thursday, April 16, with the race for top spot turning into a 4-way battle at this point. One mistake could prove to be very costly, so look for the top teams to continue applying pressure, while this in the middle of the pack fight for playoff spots. Let’s take a closer look at the Thursday schedule and League of Legends Odds.

League of Legends LPL April 16 Matches Odds

Bilibili Gaming (-1666) Vs Victory Five (+597) – 3 AM EST

Neither of these teams are going to be part of the playoff picture, yet Bilibili come into this one as an overwhelming favorite, and for very good reason. It has more to do with the performance of Victory Five than anything else, as they come into this one still looking for their first win of the season at 0-14. In their time in the LPL, Victory Five is just 9-35, so not a lot to like. Bilibili has not been particularly great this season, coming into this one at 6-9 and well off the playoff pace. It’s disappointing when you consider that they finished 4th and in the money last summer. Still, they should get the win here at not very good odds.

FunPlus Phoenix (-588) Vs LGD Gaming (+328) – 6 AM EST

One team that will be heading into the LPL spring playoff is FunPlus Phoenix, who are currently sitting in the #3 spot. They are likely not going to be able to land the top seed, but at 10-3 on the season and just 1 win out of second, they do have a shot at moving up if they win out. This is a team that finished 3rd in the spring playoffs before winning it all in the summer, so they are in very good shape right now. That is not the case with LGD Gaming, who are wallowing down near the bottom of the LPL with a 5-8 record. This is, though, a slight improvement over last season, where they managed just 3 wins. This looks like another one-sided affair, with FunPlus a very likely winner here.

Top Esports (-109) Vs eStar (-131) – 8 AM EST

This is a big one for both teams in terms of playoff seeding, as both are in at this current moment. Top eSports are tied for 5th with a 9-5 record and could potentially move up as high as 3rd with the win here, so this is a huge game for them. This was a team that finished 3rd in the playoffs last year for a nice financial payoff, so they certainly know how to handle the pressure. eStar are having themselves a very solid season, sitting in 2nd right now with an 11-4 record. They have won back to back games ahead of this one, all of which is great when you consider that this is their inaugural season in the LPL. I am on eStar to win a close one.
