Top Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Games to Wager on May 25th & 26th

Wisla Krakow vs BIG Academy

  • When: Wednesday, May 25, 15:00 CEST

BIG Academy reached the Main Stage of Elisa Invitational with a 3-1 run in the Contenders Stage, where they beat ENTERPRISE, 00Prospects, and KOVA, while their only defeat came against hellslayerz.

Although their record may seem impressive, we have to acknowledge that BIG Academy did not win against a single good team. Moreover, most of their wins were very close, which isn’t a good look, knowing that KOVA, ENTERPISE, and 00Prospects aren’t exactly the top teams in the tournament.

Wisla Krakow received a direct bye into the Main Stage and enter this bout with a somewhat concerning 1-4 record. Over that stretch, they’ve won against Anonymo, but lost against 1win, Isurus, Finest, and Illuminar Gaming.

Considering Wisla Krakow’s poor form, it’s fair to question whether they can dominate BIG Academy the way many expect them to. The Poles should still win since they’re the superior squad, but unless they find some traction, we can imagine BIG Academy stealing one map.

Prediction: Over 2.5 maps

SINNERS Esports vs ex-MAD Lions

  • When: Wednesday, May 25, 18:00 CEST

SINNERS Esports and MAD Lions have never met before, but it’s hard to argue how this match should end. SINNERS are the current no.37 team in the world, whereas the ex-MAD Lions roster recently got cut from their former organization due to lack of success.

But since going independent, ex-MAD Lions have won five straight games against Savage, SKADE, ITB, DREAM, and 00Prospects. On the other side, SINNERS have managed just two wins from their last five outings, with defeats against Entropiq, SKADE, K23, and two wins against ECSTATIC.

Admittedly, SINNERS look stronger on paper, but ex-MAD Lions are in solid form and should be able to put up a fight against the favorites.

Prediction: ex-MAD Lions +1.5 maps

AGO vs ENTERPRISE esports

  • When: Thursday, May 26, 15:00 CEST

ENTERPRISE esports are priced as +175 underdogs against AGO, which makes sense, largely due to their shaky showings in the tournament’s first half. Even though ENTERPRISE have made it through to the Main Stage, they ended the Contenders Stage with a 3-2 record.

They lost the first two outings against BIG Academy and hellslayerz and then won the next three against Astralis Talent, Lilmix, and Young Ninjas. We have to mention that ENTERPRISE needed three maps to win against Astralis, Lilmix, and Y.Ninjas, which is not a good look knowing that those were some of the weakest teams of the tournament.

AGO did not need to compete in the Contenders Stage, and they enter the Main Stage as one of the favorites to go all the way. The Polish squad have been struggling a bit with consistency over the last few weeks, but they’re on a three-game winning streak, with solid wins against Nartcis, NaVi Junior, and SAW.

AGO shouldn’t be losing games like that. Expect a quick 2-0.

Prediction: AGO -1.5 maps
