ENCE vs Copenhagen Flames

  • When: Wednesday, April 27 – 16:30 CEST

Copenhagen Flames have recently completed their run through the European PGL Major Antwerp RMR, which they finished with a perfect 3-0 record.

Admittedly, they didn’t have to face the toughest opponents since CPH only had to defeat Sprout, SINNERS, and Ninjas in Pyjamas, but the Danes were dominant across the three series, so we wouldn’t say that they aren’t as good as they seem.

ENCE also qualified for the Major, albeit with a 3-1 record. They defeated Team Spirit, HEET, and Anonymo Esports, but they fell flat against Astralis. Even though ENCE lost one series, their overall showing in the EU RMR was just as impressive as that of CPH.

For this match, the online bookies have ENCE priced as heavy favorites and CPH at +125, which underrates the Danes quite a bit. Admittedly, ENCE are the ESL Pro League Season 15 finalists, but they had it fairly easy in Germany, mainly because all other favorites underdelivered.

That is not to say that ENCE are weak, but based on their and CPH’s recent showings, these two teams should be priced much closer to even money. Value is with Copenhagen Flames!

Prediction: Copenhagen Flames to win

Heroic vs NKT

  • When: Wednesday, April 27 – 16:30 CEST

There is no hiding that Heroic is a substantially better team than NKT. But you don’t have to look far to know that.

Online eSports betting sites have NKT priced as high as +1050 to defeat Heroic, and even that figure seems a bit too low. To put it into perspective, Heroic are the current world no.5 team – NKT is ranked no.109. And that is quite a substantial gap.

Moreover, NKT have yet to face a team as strong as Heroic, so even though they boast a decent 53% win rate across the last three months, all of their wins came against squads that are a couple of tiers below Heroic.

The Danes enter this match after successfully qualifying for the PGL Major Antwerp with a perfect 3-0 run through the European RMR. There they won against forZe, Fnatic, and Natus Vincere – the current second-highest rated team and the reigning Major champions.

The fact that Heroic won against NaVi is enough for us to believe they should crush NKT, who shouldn’t win a single map, let alone the series. Barring any surprises, this should be a complete stomp, and we would be surprised to see NKT come even close to claiming double digits on either of the two maps.

Take Heroic to win both maps with at least seven rounds to spare. Heroic to cover the 13.5 total round line is an excellent alternative choice at solid odds.

Prediction: Heroic -13.5 rounds
