Formula 1 Betting Analysis & Predictions for the Last Two Races of the Season

Formula 1 Betting Analysis for the Last Two Races of the Season

Written by on November 9, 2022

You could say that we are experiencing a bit on an anticlimactic finish to the 2022 Formula 1 season when you consider that Max Verstappen has had the championship locked up for a few weeks now. There are, though, still some storylines to consider, such as who will finish 2nd overall, who will win the constructor’s series, and whether Lewis Hamilton will finish the season without getting a win, which would be the first time that had happened since he became a driver in F1. We will tackle each of those storylines, plus we will take a quick look at the remaining 2 races to see where you might want to spend your betting money so you don’t miss you chance to bet on the F1 Odds.

Final 2 Races of the 2022 F1 Season, What to Expect and How to Earn Big on Each Race

Sao Paulo Grand Prix

This will be the penultimate race of the season, and it’s one where the Hamilton storyline might well come into play. Hamilton has actually made the headlines this week ahead of the race after being made an honorary citizen of Brazil. He might want to repay the good people of Brazil by delivering a great performance, which he has done here in the past. Hamilton has won 3 of the last 5 runs in Brazil, with Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen picking up the other wins. Still, given how he has performed this season, it might be a tough pick, although you will get great odds.

Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

It has been Max Verstappen who has won each of the last 2 races here, including the highly controversial finish in 2021 that landed him his first World Championship. Hamilton has won this race 5 times, but I think the smart money here would be on Verstappen, especially since he has been dominant all season long. In fact, it might not be a terrible idea to double down on Verstappen and play him to win the final 2 races of the season.

Who Finishes 2nd Overall?

We are looking at a 2-horse race here, with Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc separated by a mere 5 points. Perez has the upper hand right now and finished 4th in Sao Paulo last season, his first with Red Bull Racing, while finishing 15th in Abu Dhabi. He would need to perform better over those 2 races to take the #2 spot. Leclerc ran 5th and 10th, respectively, in those races last season, so not a lot separating these two drivers. I am going to give the slight edge to Perez here.

Constructor’s Series

It will be Red Bull Racing who wins this, but they will be hoping for Perez to nail down the 2nd place overall finish, as that would give them the clean sweep at the top. It looks like Ferrari will be 2nd and Mercedes 3rd, but maybe Hamilton can get a win in one of the final 2 races, which might be enough to push his team into 2nd place, although that is not necessarily something I would be counting on.
