The 2023 PGA Championship, which is being held on the Oak Hill Course in Pittsford, New York, is almost upon us, which means that it’s time to start talking about the potential winners. We are in a bit of a different world now in golf, with the players split between the PGA Tour and the recently formed LIV Tour. It’s a contentious time in the sport, but all of that will be set aside when the players tee off on Thursday, as the players who left to join LIV will be allowed to play in this event, as well as in all the other majors. That might be enough to put some people off, but let’s take a look at what he has done of late. He finished up T5 at the Wells Fargo tournament, which he followed up with a T8 at the TPC Craig Ranch. While this event has not been a favorite, I think the Oak Hill Course actually suits his style of play. He is definitely a longshot to win it all, but a top 10, or maybe even a top 5, might not be a bad bet.

Yes, we are digging a little deeper to try and find some value plays here, and again, it is worth noting that these are not necessarily players we like to win, but those who might stick around near the top of the leaderboard all weekend. His putting has let him down at times, but he was in good form with the putter last weekend with a T2 finish at the TPC Craig Ranch event.

Fowler is still looking for his first win of the season, as well as his first major, and while he is certainly a longshot here, he might be worth a look in regards a top 10 finish.
