Tyler Denny +257 vs Bradley Rea -400

  • Saturday, Nov. 12
  • Manchester, England – DAZN

Underdog Tyler Denny has a record that implies he’s got a shot. Denny is 14-2 with 3 draws. He won his last bout via split-decision over then 12-0 River Wilson-Bent. The fight happened this past June.

No doubt, Denny should box competitively in this but there is a flaw with Tyler’s game. He almost zero power.

Bradley Rea has 5 knockout victories from 14 bouts. Rea will either outbox Denny or use his power to end Denny’s night early.

Boxing Pick: Bradley Rea

Marco Antonio Barrera +100 vs Ricky Hatton -138

  • Saturday, Nov. 12

This is an exhibition bout. So neither boxer is going to go all out. Still, it will be interesting to see which legendary pugilist gets it done.

Both these dudes looked great in a recent open workout. Ricky showed faster foot movement, but Barrera showed he can still win angles.

No doubt, the draw is a possibility but the odds make Barrera a play. Expect an entertaining and educational fight.

Boxing Pick: Marco Antonio Barrera

Natasha Jones -625 vs Marie Eve Dicaire +366 | Women’s Junior Middleweight Titles – WBC, WBO, IBF

  • Saturday, Nov. 12

One thing to note about Jones is that although she has a 1-inch height advantage, she doesn’t fight tall. She tends to try to get inside where she can do the most damage.

Dicaire has a decent jab. She also knows how to wrap up. Jones should win because she’s got more power, due to better feet placement when she throws her shots, and Natasha fights in front of her country people. But the odds on Dicaire make her an overlay.

Boxing Pick: Marie Eve Dicaire

Janibek Alimkhanuly -2500 vs Denzel Bentley +736 | WBO Middleweight Title

  • Las Vegas – ESPN+
  • Saturday, Nov. 12

The challenger in this has a ton of power. The problem Bentley faces is boxing well enough to use that power.

Janibek Alimkhanuly is one of the best boxers in the division. So not only will the champ knockout Bentley if Denzel, what he often does, goes in willy-nilly throwing power shots without worrying about covering up, but if the challenger shows any defense, Alimkhanuly will use his  jab and wait for an opening.

There’s no way Denzel gets to Janibek with his power shots before the champ gets to him. Look for a knockout prop before accepting the -2500.

Boxing Pick: Janibek Alimkhanuly

Floyd Mayweather Jr. -2500 vs Deji Olatunji +756 | Sunday, Nov. 13

  • Dubai, UAE – DAZN PPV

Yes, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is old, and, yes, he didn’t look great in the exhibition bout against Logan Paul. But the way Mayweather fought versus Paul was by design.

When a shorter, smaller boxer goes up against a much bigger opponent, what he does is put his head into his opponent’s chest. The biggest problem a smaller boxer has with a larger boxer is closing the distance.

By closing the distance, Floyd made it difficult for Logan to land anything. Boxers with long arms need distance to get their shots off. Second, Floyd got a chance to land because he was inside of Logan’s arms.

Olatunji isn’t as big as Logan. So Floyd could employ more boxing tactics. Mayweather routs Deji on Sunday.

Boxing Pick: Floyd Mayweather Jr.
