MMA Betting Preview for Cage Warriors 137 & 138

CW 137 Main Event Breakdown

In the main event of this unplugged Cage Warriors card there is a very interesting matchup. The former champion Matt Bonner is taking on a pretty unknown fighter out of France with a very interesting record, Joel Kouadja.

Kouadja started off his career losing 7 out of his first 8 fights. Very odd for a young fighter starting his career, especially if he is fighting on a main event in a premiere UK organization against a former champion. Something has obviously clicked and he has shown some impressive finishes on the feet during his win streak.

The odds of this one on MyBookie have Bonner at a big favorite (-630) and it is just an interesting fight all around. Fans will get their first look at Kouadja and see how he can compete against fighters with championship experience in the UK MMA scene.

CW 138 Main Event Breakdown

James Webb, former Cage Warriors champion, is set at the slight favorite over Aliu at -195 on MyBookie sportsbook. This will be an interesting matchup between the Italian making his CW debut and a CW vet.

The submission specialist Webb hasn’t won since 2020, when he sunk in an arm-triangle choke against Craig White in the first round. Aliu is coming off a big finish over Esteban Mendoza last year, going into Saturday night.

This will be a tough test for James Webb, who will try to take the fight to the ground. Aliu has a very good guillotine choke that he likes to sink in on his opponents when they shoot for a takedown. It will be interesting to see how Webb handles that guillotine threat when he tries to get to a position to finish the fight.

All in all, the second of two nights of fights will be much more competitive, and you will see that on the odds that are made. You can check them out and bet on MyBookie.ag.
