ONE Championship: Winter Warriors Betting Analysis & Predictions

ONE Championship: Winter Warriors Betting Analysis & Predictions

With the holiday season almost upon us, there are a limited number of MMA events to come before we get to the end of the year. There is still a lot of action to cram in, though, and we get things rolling with the ONE Championship Winter Warriors event, which is scheduled for 8:30 AM EST on Friday morning. It’s a main card worth getting up early for, as it has a couple of different title fights coming your way, including one in kickboxing. There is a lot of ground to cover here. Let’s get right to it so you can make your bets against the ONE Championship odds.

MMA Betting Picks for ONE Championship: Winter Warriors

Yong Hu Vs Yuya Wakamatsu

We get the main card started with a Bantamweight bout and a pair of fighters in good form. Hu started his pro career with a 2-3 record, but he has rounded into form of late, winning each of his last 5 fights. Wakamatsu broke out of a sticky patch, where he lost 3 of 4, to reel off 4 straight wins ahead of this one. He is the more experienced of the two fighters and I think he uses that to get the decision win.

Ji Won Kang Vs Marcus Buchecha

Not a lot of experience in this Heavyweight bout, but both fighters come in looking to maintain a perfect start to their pro careers. Kang has been explosive through his opening 5 fights, winning all 5 without going beyond the first round. Buchecha start out life as a pro with an opening round win in his first fight and I think he adds to that with a submission win in this one.

Timofey Natsyukhin Vs Saygid Arslanaliev

Next up on the main card is a Welterweight bout that features a pair of fighters looking to bounce back after a defeat. Natsyukhin is 14-5 overall and is on a run that has seen him lose 2 fights in his last 5. Arslanaliev saw a 4-fight win streak come to an end with a loss last time out, taking his record to 8-2. I think he makes a quick recovery here, as I like him for the KO win.

Jianliang Qiu Vs Hiroki Akimoto

We shift gears a little with the next fight, moving from MMA to kickboxing and a Featherweight bout. Qiu has only taken 1 loss in his career, but it is important to note that he is a perfect 8-0 in kickboxing matches. It is much the same story for Akimoto, who is 5-1 in kickboxing and winner of his last 3 fights. A good matchup here, and I like Qiu for the win.

Stamp Fairtex Vs Ritu Phogat

The co0main event of the night is a Strawweight bout for the Tournament Championship, and it’s a good one. Fairtex snapped out of a poor run of form to win back-to-back fights by decision to get to this point. Phogat has the same 7-1 record and comes into this bout on a run of 3 straight wins, all by decision. I like this to go the distance, with Fairtex getting the nod.

Regian Eersel Vs Islam Murtazaev

We close out the night with another kickboxing bout, with the winner of this one walking away with the Welterweight title. Eersel comes into this fight on a rich vein of form, winning 8 in a row, including 4 in a row in kickboxing. Murtazaev is sorely lacking in pro experience, which could go against him here, so I have to go with Eersel to win.

I have read enough, I need to place my bet now. What to do?
