Dallas Mavericks at Atlanta Hawks – Thursday

The Atlanta Hawks were one of those, as they made a run all the way to the Eastern Conference Final before coming up short against the Milwaukee Bucks. They will be looking to take the next step, as will the Dallas Mavericks, who were a playoff team last season. This is an excellent non-conference game for both teams and one that should be fun to watch.

Phoenix Suns at LA Lakers – Friday

We have already spoken about the Suns and their run last season, and the fact that they are on this list twice tells you that they have a tough start to the season. This, though, is all about the Lakers and seeing if they can get back to the top after a rough 2020 season that was stalled by injury. The Lakers have loaded up their squad and have a bit of a dream team going on. That, though, is no guarantee of success, but they should be exciting to watch.

Memphis Grizzlies at LA Clippers – Saturday

The Clippers went into last season as one of the favorites to win the West and make a deep run in the playoffs. While they underwhelmed a little in the regular season, they did make it all the way to the Western Conference Final. The Memphis Grizzlies made it into the postseason in 2020, making it out of the play-in tournament before losing in the first round proper.
