The opening couple of months of the NBA betting season can be tough on teams expected to struggle, and it often takes a major turning point in order for said team to get focused and excited about what lies ahead. The Milwaukee Bucks got their potential turning point when they delivered the first defeat of the season to the Golden State Warriors. They now have a chance to make it 2 wins in a row when they take on the lowly Lakers in LA on Tuesday.

Betting on the Bucks

There were a lot of bets being placed as to when the Warriors would finally drop a game, but I’m guessing that not a lot of people has money on the Milwaukee Bucks (10-15) being the team to do it. This is a team that had lost 7 of their previous 10 games heading into the match-up with the Warriors, so there was really nothing to suggest that they would end up coming away with an emphatic 108-95 win. While the victory was a great one to be sure, it is important that the Bucks do not rest on their laurels heading into this week. They have 4 road games to look forward to, including a return date with the Warriors later in the week. It’s a tough schedule ahead of them, but you have to feel that a big win over the Lakers would instill some much needed confidence into this group. The fact that the Bucks are just 2-10 on the road this season suggests that they are going to need all the help they can get.

Betting on the Lakers

If truth be told, everyone seems to have given up on the win loss record of the LA Lakers (3-21) this season, as the attentions have now been turned to the farewell tour for Kobe Bryant. Given what he has done for the team over the years, it is unfortunate that he is going to go out in such underwhelming fashion. This is a player who made a habit of winning on a regular basis during his career, so you know that the current state of the Lakers cannot be making him feel good. That said, Kobe is also part of the problem, as he probably stayed a season or two longer than he should have. The Lakers are just 1-9 in their last 10 games, and are propping up the Western Conference. Next season will be time for a fresh start, and they are probably going to have a high draft pick to help the cause.

Milwaukee-Los Angeles Game Analysis and Key Betting Trends

I don’t really believe that the Milwaukee Bucks have what it takes to make the playoffs this season, but they certainly have what it takes to get the win here. I like them to win by a 7-10 point margin of victory.
