NBA Championship Odds Update: Nets Remain As Favorites While Warriors Keep Closing the Gap

With seven weeks down in the 2021-22 NBA season, it’s never too early to take a look at some future bets. In looking at this season’s championship odds, we’re seeing some familiar names at the top of the list. While many are familiar, there are a few surprises as well. Let’s take a look at some of the favorites to win the Larry O’Brien Trophy so you can bet against the NBA Championship odds.

NBA Betting Update | Odds to Win the 2021-22 Championship

Brooklyn Nets +260

Who would’ve thought that the Nets would have the best odds to win the title without Kyrie Irving having played one second of basketball this season? As a matter of fact, unless something drastically changes, we don’t anticipate seeing Irving at all this season, as he refuses to get the COVID vaccination. While not having Irving hurts the Nets’ offense, it helps them on the defensive end, as any point guard that they play is a better defender than Irving.

The Nets still have Kevin Durant and James Harden to carry the offense, so they aren’t hurting to score. Brooklyn has also played some very good defense this season. The Nets have a very good road record, which could be a huge factor when they get to the playoffs.

Golden State Warriors +550

What a season the Warriors are having! Steph Curry has been tremendous, as he is the favorite to win the league MVP award at this time. Curry has had a lot of help, as Andrew Wiggins seems to have finally figured things out. And don’t look now, but we could see Klay Thompson make his return in the next few days.

If the Warriors can continue to play defense as they have been early in the season, they’re going to be tough to beat come playoff time.

Milwaukee Bucks +700

While much of the attention has been on the Nets, Warriors, and the demise of the Lakers, the Bucks have quietly snuck back towards the top of the Eastern Conference. After getting off to a slow start, the defending NBA champions have picked things up. Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing better, and the Bucks are kicking it back into gear.

Los Angeles Lakers +1000

The oddsmakers haven’t lost faith in the Lakers yet, but many of the league’s experts have. Many are saying that LeBron James is starting to show his age, and the cast surrounding him isn’t good enough to carry the Lakers deep into the playoffs. We shall see.

Utah Jazz +1000

The Jazz are playing well again this season. Everyone has stayed healthy, and Rudy Gobert has become an offensive force. We’ll see Utah deep into the playoffs if Mike Conley Jr. can avoid the injury bug.

Phoenix Suns +1100

The Suns know that they squandered a huge opportunity in last season’s NBA Finals, and they want to get back there again. After the Warriors snapped their 18-game winning streak, the Suns are looking to start another one. Chris Paul and company have what it takes to get to the Finals, and we’ll just have to see if they can get through the loaded Western Conference again this season.
