We’re in the home stretch of the NBA season. There are less than ten regular-season games left, and teams are jockeying for playoff positioning.

We’ve seen a lot of movement in the standings as of late, as teams are getting hot at the right time, while others have picked a bad time to play poorly.

In looking at the slate of games for the upcoming week, we’ve found a couple of games that have caught our attention.

We think that there is some money to be made on these games. We’ll give you some NBA betting advice on those games.

NBA Week 23: Must Bet Games Starting the Week

Monday, March 28th – Boston Celtics @ Toronto Raptors

This is a huge game for both teams. Heading into their Sunday matchup with the red-hot Minnesota Timberwolves, the Boston Celtics are just a half-game out of the top spot in the Eastern Conference. Heading into their Saturday night date with the Indiana Pacers, the Toronto Raptors are tied with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the sixth spot in the East.

Toronto would love nothing more than to climb past the Cavaliers and get into the sixth spot by themself. That way, they would avoid the play-in games.

The Celtics will travel north of the border to take on the Raptors on Monday night. Boston has been one of the hottest teams in the league since the All-Star Break.

They play great defense, and Jayson Tatum has been one of the best players in the league since the break. This team is gritty, and teams have yet to show that they can solve Boston’s defensive scheme.

Toronto can also play some defense, and their starting five can score with the best of them. The Raptors know that they can’t afford to lose games, as they don’t want to have to deal with the play-in tournament.

We like the Raptors in this one. Boston has to travel North, and if there are any Celtic players that are unvaccinated, they won’t be allowed to travel to Toronto. We think that the Raptors are the more desperate team at this point, and they’ll find a way to beat the red-hot Celtics.

Tuesday, March 29th – Utah Jazz @ Los Angeles Clippers

After a Friday night thrashing by the Philadelphia 76ers on their home floor, the Los Angeles Clippers will have until Tuesday night’s date with the Utah Jazz to rest up. While the Clippers are resting, the Jazz will travel to Dallas to take on the Mavericks on Sunday.

The Clippers have lost five in a row, and things don’t get any easier from here on out. Unless they go into a free fall, the Clips will at least be in the play-in tournament. They’re just four games ahead of the Pelicans and Lakers right now.

Utah and Dallas are tied for 4th in the West, but just 2.5 games separates them from the 7th-place Minnesota Timberwolves. Utah wants to remain in the fourth spot to guarantee themselves home court for their first-round series.

Neither of these teams are setting the world on fire. The Clippers have lost their last five while heading into Sunday night’s game; the Jazz have lost three in a row.

We’re leaning towards Utah in this one. The Clippers are really struggling, and the Jazz are the more desperate team.
