Top NBA Week 14 Matches to Wager On Monday and Wednesday

We’ve passed the halfway point of the NBA season, and the playoff races are starting to heat up. With the trade deadline coming up, we’re sure to see some teams make moves to solidify their playoff status. Let’s look at a couple of games this week that we think you can place a bet on and make a few extra dollars against the NBA Betting Odds

Top Must Bet NBA Games On Jan. 17th & 19th

Monday, January 17th – Chicago Bulls @ Memphis Grizzlies

On paper, this one looks like it should be a very competitive game. The Chicago Bulls are sitting atop the Eastern Conference standings as DeMar DeRozan, Zach Lavine, and company has surprised the Eastern Conference. Speaking of surprises, very few expected this rise out of the Memphis Grizzlies. At 30-15, they are sitting in third place in the Western Conference. And remember, they made a lot of strides while Ja Morant was out with an injury.

While we said that this one should be very competitive on paper, remember, the games aren’t played on paper. Memphis is on fire, winning nine of their last 10. Ja Morant has been playing like a man possessed. Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. have also made huge strides this season, as both are averaging nearly 17 points per game. The Grizzlies bench is also loaded with athletic guys that can score and guard. This squad has the potential to contend for the Western Conference title.

As for the Bulls, they’ve been hit hard by injuries. Zach Lavine left their game with the Warriors with a knee injury, and the Bulls are unsure when he’ll be back. Alex Caruso has been out with a foot injury but should be back this week. Lonzo Ball’s status is also up in the air. The Bulls have lost their last three, including a 26-point loss to the Brooklyn Nets and a 42-point loss to the Golden State Warriors. Both of those losses came at the United Center.

We don’t have much faith in the Chicago Bulls at this time. They’re an average team at best until they get their full squad back. As long as this point spread isn’t too large, we’d be very confident in taking the red-hot Memphis Grizzlies.

Wednesday, January 19th – Orlando Magic @ Philadelphia 76ers

Although there is always the Ben Simmons saga surrounding the Philadelphia 76ers, they’ve managed a way to ignore all of that and are climbing up the Eastern Conference standings. Winners of nine of their last 10, the Sixers are putting things together. Joel Embiid is healthy and is playing like one of the top players in the league. When he is engaged, he’s nearly impossible to stop.

The Orlando Magic are at the other end of the spectrum. They’re currently sitting at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with an 8-36 record. They’ve lost nine of their last 10, and the rebuilding squad is just trying to find the right lineup combinations.

While the Magic have been better on the road than they are at home, we still don’t give them much of a chance in this one. Make sure to check to see who is active prior to making a bet, as the Sixers have been known to give Embiid days off to rest his knees when they play a weaker opponent. If Embiid does play, we like the Sixers big in this one.
