Both of these teams are fighting for their playoff lives in their respective conferences. The Hawks are currently in among the play-in teams in the East, while the Trail Blazers are sitting just below that line in the West. The Trail Blazers have a decent record versus teams from the Eastern Conference, but they have also been poor on the road, going just 9-22 away from home. Atlanta has won 2 in a row and have been tough to beat on home court, so let’s roll with the Hawks.

Memphis Grizzlies over Indiana Pacers – Tuesday

The chances of the Grizzlies running down the Phoenix Suns at the top of the Western Conference are pretty slim, but they are making a very good run at the #2 seed. They come into the new week having win 3 in a row, which has put them a half game up on the Warriors in the West. Tuesday will see them host the Indiana Pacers, who are looking increasingly more likely to be officially eliminated from playoff contention, sooner rather than later. The Grizzlies should have no problem keeping their win streak alive.

Utah Jazz over Chicago Bulls – Wednesday

There are plenty of safer picks on Wednesday night, but this one is all about looking for some value. This is the 2^nd and final meeting between these two this season, with the Bulls winning at home over the Jazz earlier in the year. This will be a much tougher one for Chicago, though, as the Jazz have been very tough to beat at home, going 24-10 in their own building. One of the better matchups of the week here, and while I expect a close one, I am rolling with the Jazz to get the win at home.

Orlando Magic over Detroit Pistons – Thursday

This is the lone game on the schedule for Thursday night, and while it is not a matchup that delivers much in the way of excitement, I do think we have a bet available here. Both of these teams have already been eliminated from playoff contention, so there is some risk in playing this game at all, as you never know how inspired either team will be to go out and give their all at this stage of the season. The Pistons won both home games against Orlando this season, but the Magic beat Detroit on home court. I’m looking for them to repeat that performance and split the season series.
