The Warriors are unstoppable, but hey, what's new?

Updated 2016 NBA Championship Odds

Written by on February 22, 2016

The National Basketball Association has moved to the second half of the season. The games have started up for the second half, and the landscape looks different. Let’s take a look at the Updated Pro basketball betting odds for the final last week of February. There is no doubt, there are still five teams that have the best shot to win a NBA title. That’s arguable, as many feel there are really just four, and some say – honestly – no one will beat the Golden State Warriors. Let’s take a look at updated MyBookie.ag NBA Odds, heading into the final week of February.

Updated NBA Championship Odds

Warriors Favorites Followed by Cavs

The Golden State Warriors are still far and away ahead of everyone else. The Warriors are massive favorites, listed at -125 to win the NBA title. That’s almost unheard of, but that’s how impressive Golden State has been this year. The big story with Golden State, is whether they can beat the 72 wins, which is a regular season record. Next on the list is the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers were impressive with a blowout win on Sunday over the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Cavaliers are by far the favorites to win the Eastern Conference. The Cavaliers are defending Eastern Conference champions, following their loss to Golden State a season ago. The Cavaliers are listed at +200 to win the NBA title.

Spurs Do Not Get Much Respect

The San Antonio Spurs are next on the list. The Spurs would be getting a ton of news stories, if it were not for the darn Golden State Warriors. San Antonio is putting together, a nearly 70 win season as well. The veterans get overlooked, but they will be a tough team to down in a 7 game series come postseason time. The San Antonio Spurs are listed at +300 to win the NBA title.

Thunder Have the Pieces to Win It

Next up is the Oklahoma City Thunder, and this is where the jump begins. With San Antonio at +300, the Thunder move all the way to +1000. It’s hard to count out Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant, but they are going to need much more from the rest of their squad if they want a shot. The Thunder are the second best scoring team in the NBA.

The Remains of the NBA Teams

The Los Angeles Clippers are next, at +2200. The Clippers will have Chris Paul and Blake Griffin, which again, is tough to bet against. They are the fifth of the Top 5 teams that are contenders to win. The problem here is, the Clippers will likely face the Warriors before the Western Conference Finals. That’s bad news for Los Angeles. The Toronto Raptors are next on the list. The Raptors have the second best record in the Eastern Conference, only trailing Cleveland. Toronto has a solid core of guard play, so they could be a tough team to upend this spring as well. The Toronto Raptors come into the final week of February listed at +2800 to win a NBA title. The Chicago Bulls are next. The Bulls have been so inconsistent, and currently fighting for their postseason lives. The Bulls are tied with Charlotte for the 8th seed, ahead of the Detroit Pistons right now. That would put the Bulls against Cleveland in the first round of the postseason. Scary, but also scary for top seeded Cleveland. The Bulls should be okay once Jimmy Butler returns. Chicago is listed at +4000 to win a NBA title. The rest of the list looks like this:
  • Boston Celtics +5000
  • Atlanta Hawks +5500
  • Miami Heat +6000
  • Indiana Pacers +7000
  • Memphis Grizzlies +10000
  • Washington Wizards +18000
  • Dallas Mavericks +20000
That’s a good look at your updated MyBookie.ag NBA odds heading into the final week of February.
