When the 2017 NBA playoffs start steamrolling toward its annual NBA finals – and five teams currently still hoping to fulfill their championship hopes, roundball betting enthusiasts everywhere need to know what the latest NBA Futures Odds to win the 2016-17 NBA championship look like and which title contenders have the best chances of cashing in on the them.

Golden State Warriors

The Dubs moved to 9-0 in the postseason by squeaking past San Antonio 113-111 in Game 1 of their Western Conference finals matchup on Sunday, but the Spurs exposed some deficiencies in the process. First and foremost, the Dubs had better wish that Steve Kerr returns soon because assistant Mike Brown made some seriously strange rotation substitutions on Sunday that were so far off from Kerr’s normal that it left at least one key veteran (Andre Iguodala) fuming. Of course, when you have four all-stars and two of them were league MVP’s it’s a bit easier overcoming coaching gaffes like Brown’s in Game 1 and the Dubs are the prohibitive favorites for a reason people.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cavs will be well-rested for the winner of the Celtics-Wizards semifinals in the Eastern Conference after sweeping both, Indiana and Toronto in the first two rounds. The Cavs entered the postseason playing some horrific defense to close out the regular season, but they’ve looked nothing like that team since the start of the playoffs. While Boston or Washington will both give the Cavs a hard way to go in the east finals, I just don’t see either team getting past LeBron James and company to represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals.

San Antonio Spurs

The Spurs are still the ‘smartest’ team in the league and they have the best coach by far in Gregg Popovich, but the ankle injury to superstar Kawhi Leonard has come at the most unfortunate time San Antonio already faced tall task in beating the loaded Dubs with a fully healthy Leonard, but with their best player hobbled – and LaMarcus Aldridge playing nothing like the max contract player he is, the Spurs just don’t have enough offensive firepower to get past the Warriors.

Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards

The Celtics and Wizards are currently tied at 3-3 heading into tonight’s Game 7, but since I predicted the home team to win every game in this tightly contested series, I’m expecting the C’s to win and advance. No matter which team wins tonight to advance and meet Cleveland, neither will get pat a Cavaliers team that looks completely determined to reach the NBA Finals for the third straight season, although I do believe Washington would have better chance of upsetting the Cavs than Boston. In the end, it’ll be Cleveland Golden State in the NBA Finals and I have the Dubs getting their revenge against the Cavs simply because they have too much offensive firepower and a ton of motivation to get back the title they believe they should have won a year ago after taking commanding 3-1 series lead. I know the odds the Dubs are offering as a 5/19 pick aren’t very glamorous, but I like Golden State to cash in on them and you should too!
