$25 on Jerod Mayo to Win NFL Coach of the Year at +2600

Mayo to win NFL Coach of the Year at an incredible 26-to-1 odds is our future play of the week.

It’s rare that a head coach makes all the right moves to help a team win.

Mayo did that when the New England Patriots went into Cincinnati and calmly beat Joe Burrow and the Bengals 16-10.

The win was a straight-up genius bit of coaching.

Mayo leaned on underrated Rhamondre Stevenson, who had 120 yards and a TD on 25 carries, and managed the flow of the game brilliantly.

The thing about the Patriots is that although they aren’t flashy on offense the defense is solid.

It may be a top 10, if not top 5 unit, that means its time to think about your NFL prop bets today.

So the Pats could have success and will beat some teams this season.

If Mayo leads the Patriots to a winning record, forget it.

He’s the Coach of the Year.

$25: Rookie of the Year Pick: Jerod Mayo +2600

$25 on New Orleans to Beat Dallas +250

Dallas’ 33-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns implies the Cowboys dominated on offense.

Stats tell a different story.

Dak Prescott went 19-of-32 for 179 yards and a TD.

Zeke Elliott rushed for 40 yards on 10 carries and got a TD.

CeeDee Lamb caught 5 passes for 61 yards.

Big D is going to have some trouble versus a Saints squad that was on point in NFL Week 1.

The defense was spectacular when destroying Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers.

Sure, the Cowboys are a much better team than the Panthers.

But New Orleans looks like a serious playoff contender after Derek Carr, Rasheed Shaheed, Alvin Kamara, and a retooled offensive line obliterated the Panthers’ D.

The Saints’ defense was terrific.

Dallas should win this game, no doubt.

But the odds make New Orleans a great shot for a quarter of our Benjamin.

$25: NFL Week 2 SU Pick: Saints +250

$25 on Patriots to Beat the Seahawks 1-13 Points +185

Ride the Jerod Mayo train.

In the past, great coaches have lived off fantastic defenses and vanilla offenses.

The great Tony Dungy, one of the most brilliant defensive minds in NFL football history, almost took the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to the Super Bowl by mostly playing defense.

Bill Belichick and Tom Brady’s first Super Bowl win, against the St.

Louis Rams, leaned on a defense that shut down Kurt Warner and The Greatest Show on Turf.

The Seahawks beat Denver but they could have lost the game for sure.

Go Pats.

$25: NFL Week 2 SU Pick: Patriots +185

$25 on Commanders to Beat Giants 1-13 Points +125

The Giants look like the second worst team in the NFL after Carolina.

A case can be made that NYG is the worst.

The G-Men have nothing on offense now that Saquon Barkley has left for Philadelphia.

Malik Nabers is great.

But Daniel Jones can’t get him the ball.

Jayden Daniels, Washington’s rookie QB, should run circles around a Giants’ D that doesn’t have a leader and plays with zero fire.

D.C. rocks NYC.

$25: NFL Week 2 SU Pick: Commanders +125

If I Bet $100 How Much Do I Win NFL?

The amount you win from a $100 bet in the NFL depends on the odds and the type of bet you place.
Here’s a basic breakdown:

  • Moneyline Bets:
Odds of +150: If you bet $100, you would win $150. Your total payout would be $250 ($150 winnings + $100 original bet).
Odds of -150: If you bet $100, you would win approximately $67. Your total payout would be $167 ($67 winnings + $100 original bet).

  • Point Spread Bets:
If the spread is -110 (common for point spreads), a $100 bet would win approximately $90.91.
Your total payout would be $190.91 ($90.91 winnings + $100 original bet).

  • Over/Under Bets:
Similarly, with odds of -110, a $100 bet would win about $90.91. Your total payout would be $190.91 ($90.91 winnings + $100 original bet).

  • Parlays:
The payout for parlays depends on the number of legs and the odds of each leg.
For example, a 2-team parlay with odds of +150 on each leg might result in a total payout of around $400 if you bet $100.

2024 NFL season | 105th season of National Football League in the United States
September 5th, 2024 – January 5th, 2025

Ready to Transform Your $100 into a NFL Windfall?

On September 5, the NFL kicks off what should be another fantastic season.

There’s still time to get down future bets before the September 5 game versus the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.

If you had $100 to bet on NFL futures and props, which way would you go?

Check out four $25 bet suggestions along with NFL odds that could help you make big time profit.

Writer’s Pick for the Best NFL Futures and Prop Bets for Your $100

$25 on Breece Hall to Win NFL Offensive Player of the Year +1800

In his second season, even though Zach Wilson was his primary quarterback, Breece Hall excelled as the Jets’ top running back.

Hall scored 4 rushing touchdowns and 4 pass catching TDs.

He caught 76 passes for 591 yards and rushed for 994 yards.

The Jets improved their offensive line and Aaron Rodgers will be his QB this season.

At +1800, Hall is a great bet to stamp himself the AFC’s Christian McCaffrey.

$25: Offensive Pick: Breece Hall +1800

$25 on New York Jets to Win the AFC Championship at +850

Sticking with the Jets theme, NYJ improved on offense and defense.

If Hasson Reddick joins the squad, the odds on NYJ to win the AFC will plummet because the offense is going to be as solid as it gets.

If you think Reddick ends up playing this NFL season, consider making this bet as early as you can.

The Jets will score points and have leapfrogged the Bills as the AFC East favorites.

Protecting Aaron Rodgers appears to be the only thing standing in the way of the Jets from making it to the AFC Conference game because NYJ’s schedule is much easier than the teams the Ravens the Chiefs, and the Bengals must play.

$25: AFC Pick: Jets +850

$25 on Detroit Lions to Win the Super Bowl +1200

Detroit has flown under the radar this offseason.

Why? When you’re a good team that requires only tweaks to make the Super Bowl, you don’t make flashy free agent signings.

Sam LaPorta takes over as the leagues’ top tight end in 2024.

Yes, the prediction is he outplays Travis Kelce.

Jared Goff has other weapons, including Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams.

The offensive line is stellar.

The defensive got better by signing Marcu Davenport at right defensive end and Carlton Davis III to play corner.

The Lions rule the NFC and have a real shot to win the 2025 Super Bowl.

$25: 2025 Super Bowl Pick: Lions +1200

$25 Bo Nix to Win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year +1400

The odds on Bo Nix were around +2500 heading into training camp.

After a couple of games, Nix’s odds have plummeted.

The reason is because Bo has completed over 76% of his passes and has thrown for 205 yards and 2 TDs.

Nix can also rush with the football.

When NFL so called experts asked head coach Sean Payton why he drafted Nix in the first round when so many had him going in the second or third round, Payton said Nix was the top of his draft board.

The experts scoffed at the idea.

Maybe Payton knows more than the experts.

NFL handicappers are following suit because the odds drop is tremendous.

There’s still time to get on the bandwagon.

$25: Rookie of the Year Pick: Bo Nix +1400

Check out our $100 NFL futures and props strategy as well as more info on why, if all you have is $100, you should consider making the following plays.

Writer’s Pick for the Best NFL Futures and Prop Bets for Your $100

$100 NFL prop bet strategy – Four $25 overlay bets

If all we have is $100 and we were using that Benjamin to play NFL futures and props, we want to make sure to score decent profit or at least cut losses.

The best way to do that is to bet $25 on four separate wagers.

The key is to only bet on overlay props or futures.

An overlay is a bet that offers a higher payout than it should.

The way to find overlays is to handicap and set our payout lines.

For example, if we believe Kansas City should offer +350 to win the 2025 Super Bowl instead of odds at +500, and the odds on KC are at +500, the Chiefs are an overlay.

See below for five overlay options.

We explain why the NFL odds on each makes the play an overlay as well as provide our reasoning for why you should bet each.

Bet 1
New York Jets to win the AFC +1100

2024 is setting up as a banner year for the New York Jets.

Aaron Rodgers will be fully healed, motivated, and determined to turn the Jets into a winner.

Rodgers would have retired after last season’s first game injury if didn’t believe he could lead the J-E-T-S to the Super Bowl.

Not only that, but the Jets went from having a bad offensive line to one of the best by signing former Cowboy Tyron Smith to play left tackle and then drafting Olu Fashanu to back up Smith.

With the left tackle position secure, NYJ’s offense will roll.

Garrett Wilson is one of the league’s top WR1s, Breece Hall is as good as it gets at the running back position, and tight end Tyler Conklin and AR are going to rock.

On defense, somehow, someway, the Jets acquired Haason Reddick.

In the last two seasons, Reddick sacked opposing quarterbacks 27 times while playing with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Haason joins a defense that was already one of the NFL’s best.

NYJ should start the season 5-1.

An NFL Week 1 loss to the 49ers in San Francisco could happen, but then the Jets roll past the Titans, Broncos, Patriots, Broncos, Vikings, and Bills at home in a Monday night game.

The Jets project to lose 4 games at the most during the regular season.

So home field throughout the playoffs is a real possibility.

At +1100 odds, NYJ is a fantastic play to win the AFC.

AFC Pick: Jets +1100

Bet 2
Detroit Lions to win the 2025 Super Bowl +1300

The New York Jets will face off against the Detroit Lions in the Super Bowl.

Detroit was oh so close to finishing off the San Francisco 49ers in last season’s NFC Championship but failed to get it done.

This season, Jared Goff and crew are deadest on winning not just the conference but also the Super Bowl.

Even though the Chicago Bears will be better this season and Green Bay has close to Super Bowl level talent, the Bears and Packers pale in comparison to how good the Lions are.

Detroit handed Goff a massive contract that keeps one of the top quarterbacks in the league in silver and sky blue for the foreseeable future.

Goff, already one of the league’s top QB leaders, is extra motivated to work for his employers.

Jahmyr Gibbs projects to have a breakout season and the wide receiver unit is fantastic.

Sam LaPorta becomes the NFL’s top tight end in his rookie season.

The defense will take the next step to the elite level.

Marcus Davenport, DJ Reader, and a second year Jack Campbell will all support the terrific Aidan Hutchinson.

Detroit gets it done in a big way by winning the 2025 Super Bowl.

2025 Super Bowl Pick: Lions +1300

Bet 3
Washington QB Jayden Daniels to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year +650

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams offers underlay odds at +125.

Williams should have a decent season and the Bears are much improved from 2025, but Jayden Daniels hails from the SEC where he torched some of the top programs in college football like Texas A&M, Missouri, Florida, and Auburn.

Even in LSU’s losses, Daniels excelled, rushing for 169 yards versus Alabama and throwing for 414 against Ole Miss.

Daniels threw for 346 yards against Florida State.

He’s taller than Williams and arguably has the better supporting cast in former Chargers running back Austin Ekeler and wide receiver Terry McLaurin.

The +650 odds makes Daniels an overlay for sure.

Of the rookie quarterbacks, Jayden has the best shot of pulling off what C.J.

Stroud did for the Houston Texans last season.

Back Jayden over Caleb to win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Rookie of the Year Pick: QB Jayden Daniels +650

Bet 4
Dallas Cowboys Dak Prescott most passing TDs +850

Patrick Mahomes is the favorite at +700, which in some ways makes sense.

But the Chiefs are more of a ball control offense during the regular season.

Dallas is a light up the scoreboard offense.

The Cowboys will give returning star running back Ezekiel Elliott the ball, but he won’t get the 20+ carries that he did in his hey-day in Big D.

Instead, CeeDee Lamb, who has emerged as one of the NFL’s top wide receivers, will benefit from Dak Prescott pass after pass.

Prescott threw 36 TD passes in 2023 to lead the NFL.

He’s going to throw more than 36 in 2024 because the Cowboys will rely on their star quarterback to win games against the Eagles and Commanders, two playoff contenders in their division.

Give Prescott a massive shot to lead the league again.

At the +850 odds, Dak is an overlay to throw more TDs than any other starting quarterback in the NFL.

NFL Props: Dak Prescott most passing TDs +85

NFL Betting: Judge Berman Speaks “There Will Be No Settlement”

Previous Betting News

Tom Brady and Roger Goodell appeared as ordered by Judge Richard M. Berman for their third hearing in the appeal of the Deflategate suspension. Berman announced that there has been no settlement as expected by NFL betting fans, as Brady and Goodell have clearly failed to find any common ground. Berman went on to say that he would have a ruling ready between Tuesday and Friday. He said, “It won’t be today, but hopefully tomorrow or the day after,” as he is still making the final edits to his decision.

Monday’s special hearing only lasted about five minutes. Berman did note that some senior league and union executives had gotten into the negotiation talks that morning, which lasted more than an hour. These executives had not been present at the earlier talks. New York Giants co-owner and president John Mara joined in to try and broker a settlement, as did Jay Feely, a free-agent kicker who is also on the union’s executive committee. Mara chairs the NFL’s executive committee overseeing matters involving labor. Mara walked out of the courtroom before Berman made his announcement, telling Sal Paolantonio from ESPN that there would be no settlement to his knowledge.

Speaking outside the court, Feely said that both sides attempted to reach a settlement. He told the press, “We want to thank the court. We tried our best to reach a settlement that we did not reach. But I think for us, it reinforces the desire and need for an independent arbitrator in these matters of personal conduct. But we understand Tom’s position, and I think the process will work out.”For his part, Berman said that he was satisfied with the effort hat both sides had put in to come to a settlement that continues to hang over the league – and has since January’s AFC Championship game. Goodell heard Brady’s appeal for his suspension but then upheld the suspension. The NFL is wanting some confirmation that it handled the situation right. However, the fact that Goodell not only serves as the designer of the punishments but also the one hearing them so often is going to be a problem in years going forward.

Also, Judge Berman has made several comments that seem to favor Brady’s side. He has said that precedent exists for judges to set aside penalties that arbitrators had issued. Also, the fact that the league’s findings were so vague is a problem for Berman. It remains to be seen, then, whether Brady will take the field against the Steelers – or whether it will be Jimmy Garoppolo.

So what is the right answer? It’s important to remember that the official penalty for using balls with the wrong level is a $25,000 fine, but the league elevated the punishment much higher, apparently because of what they perceived as deceit on Brady’s part. It remains to be seen what Judge Berman will order – and what the league and Brady will see necessary to appeal. The further this goes in the court system, the less credibility the league will have over time.
