NBA Week 18 Top Betting Picks & Predictions for this Week’s Best Matches

It’s Monday morning, which means it’s time to look ahead and start thinking about where our betting dollars are going this week in the NBA. It is a shorter week than usual, with Thursday being the final day of action before things shut down for the All-Star Break. This is an opportunity for players to rest and relax a little before they begin the final push for the playoffs, and you have to say that there are some great battles going on in both conferences at the moment. You have the race to be in the top 6, as well as the teams below the play-in line trying to cling to some type of life. We will see things change before the playoffs begin, but for now, let’s focus on the next few days and the NBA betting big games coming this week.

Brooklyn Nets at New York Knicks

When: Monday
Where: Madison Square Garden

Time: 7:30 PM ET
TV: NBA TV

The trade deadline was pretty wild, with the Brooklyn Nets ridding themselves of a couple of big name players in massive trades that will totally change how they look. It does feel as though this team needed that change, as they have been slipping of late and are just 4-6 in their last 10 games. Monday night will see them take the short trip to MSG to face the New York Knicks, who are trying to claw their way back into the top 6. The Knicks have gone 6-4 in their last 10, but still find themselves in the #7 seed, a game and a half out of the top 6. This is a big game for both teams.

Boston Celtics at Milwaukee Bucks

When: Tuesday
Where: Fiserv Forum

Time: 7:30 PM ET
TV: TNT

You can scour the NBA schedule for the week all you want, but I guarantee you are not going to find a bigger game than this one. The Boston Celtics have more wins than any other team in the league at 41, but they have the Bucks hot on their heels, sitting just a game and a half back of the lead in the Eastern Conference. The Celtics have won 4 in a row, which is good, but it pales in comparison to what Milwaukee are doing right now, as they come into this week on a 10-game win streak. The conference could tighten up dramatically with a Milwaukee win here.

Dallas Mavericks at Denver Nuggets

When: Wednesday
Where: Pepsi Center

Time: 7:30 PM ET
TV: NBA TV

We have another big game lined up on Wednesday night, with the focus this time on the Western Conference. The Mavericks are sitting down in the #4 seed, and while that is not a bad place to be, it’s tight down there, with a ton of teams all sitting around the same record. Any kind of losing skid could see them fall rather quickly. They are 8 ½ games back of the Denver Nuggets, who have opened up a bit of a lead at the top of the West. Neither team is really lighting it up right now, with both going 6-4 in their last 10.

LA Clippers at Phoenix Suns

When: Thursday
Where: Footprint Center

Time: 10:00 PM ET
TV: TNT

As you might expect on the day before the break, Thursday is a relatively slow night on the NBA schedule. Still, we have a good one among the 3 games that will be played, with the LA Clippers hitting the road to face the resurgent Phoenix Suns. The Clippers are drifting a little too close to the play-in zone for comfort, sitting down in the #6 seed, just a single game up on the pack. The Suns were way lower than that a couple of weeks ago, but they have hit a good run of form, winning 7 of their last 10 to get up to #5.
