NBA Week 2 Rundown: Top Betting Matchups and Picks for the Week

2022 NBA Week 2

  • When: Monday, Oct. 24 – Sunday, Oct. 30

Brooklyn Nets at Milwaukee Bucks | Wednesday, Oct. 26

New Orleans dusted Brooklyn 130-109 in the Nets first game of the season. Brooklyn, though, bounced in the second game with a nice 109-105 win against the Toronto Raptors.

Milwaukee is 2-0 heading into the week. After a couple of contests, the Bucks rank first in points allowed and field goal percentage allowed. Milwaukee takes this.

NBA Pick: Milwaukee Bucks

Miami Heat at Golden State Warriors | Thursday, Oct. 27

The Warriors have a tough week. On Tuesday, Golden State travels to Phoenix to take on the Suns. Then on Thursday, Steph and his mates host Jimmy and his team.

Golden State has won 2-of-3 heading into the week. In their first 3 games, the Heat have not played well. Miami fell to Chicago and Boston before beating Toronto. The Heat are 0-3 so far this season. The Warriors win and cover.

NBA Pick: Golden State Warriors

Cleveland Cavaliers at Boston Celtics | Friday, Oct. 28

Toronto upset Cleveland in the Cavaliers first game of the season. Since the loss, the Cavs have won 2 straight over Chicago and Washington.

Boston is 2-0 after a couple of games. Beating Miami impressed, but the win over Orlando doesn’t mean much. The Cavaliers backcourt, Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell, ensures Cleveland keeps this close. Cavaliers all the way.

NBA Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers

New Orleans Pelicans at Phoenix Suns | Friday, Oct. 28

Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson are listed as questionable for the Pelicans Tuesday contest versus the Dallas Mavericks.

By the time Friday rolls around, Williamson and Ingram should be good to go. Whether Williamson and Ingram play may not matter.

The Suns should be 3-0. An overtime loss to Portland in their second game is the only reason Phoenix has a 2-1 record. This happens on the Suns’ floor so The Valley rules.

NBA Pick: Phoenix Suns

Philadelphia 76ers at Utah Jazz | Saturday, Oct. 29

After 3 games, the Sixers are 0-3. Philadelphia’s last loss at the time of this writing happened on Sunday, Oct. 23 when Joel Embiid and his mates threw down against the rival Boston Celtics.

Utah is 3-0 after 3 games. But while Utah has played great, we shouldn’t read too much into the wins. The Jazz required overtime for 2 of the 3 victories. It’s a matter of time before opponents start spanking the overachieving Jazz.

NBA Pick: Philadelphia 76ers

Denver Nuggets at Los Angeles Lakers | Sunday, Oct. 30

The Lakers are a disaster. 3 games for LAL means 3 losses. Los Angeles has no idea how to turn things around.

The veteran Lakers are up against it in this. Utah dominated Denver 123-102 in the Nuggets’ first game. Since then, Denver has won 2 straight. 1 of the wins was a road tilt against Curry and the Warriors.

NBA Pick: Denver Nuggets
